Fournette Is the only correct answer If he is there at 8

Jordan Howard didn't even start the season as their starter.  The fact Elliot is the only first rounder in the top 10 is a testament to how rusher can now be found much much later than years ago....and none of those other rushers have the top OL

so then, keeping what we have and boosting the line is the correct play...

Whomever we draft is going to be a blue-chip caliber player.

As much as this season sucked we could look back at it a few seasons from now as a blessing because of this draft pick.

I don't think there's any doubt whatsoever.   We already have playoff experience.  We already have Super Bowl experience.  Sure it'd be nice to be in the dance again because anything can happen once there.  But this was a Super Bowl win or bust season.  I'd rather pick 8 than ANYWHERE between 9-31.

also..I don't want a WR but a first round WR would at best be our #3 WR if Ginn is gone?  Huh? Ginn Jr is our best overall WR and he SUCKS be NFL standards.  A top notch rookie WR could easily jump KB and Fun Fun as an OVERALL WR.  Ginn jumped them and Ginn doesn't see the field on just about every team not named Carolina.

Yea that was hilariously stupid and I quit reading straight away even though I like Fournette.

Mike Williams is better than any WR we've had other than Smitty in our entire history and it isn't even close. That's why he's going top 10 and guys like KB were bottom 1's.

KB is our #2 with Mike Williams on the squad...that'd be a WR corps.

The option isn't draft a RB at #8 or keep what you have as is.  It is a deep RB draft.   Draft a runner.  Just not at 8.

But boosting the OLs ability run and pass block is a must.

We need a young runner and there will be tons of options

it was more rhetorical...the "duh" response....if we don't fix the line it won't matter who we get or who we keep...

It's very likely that we're gonna draft a safety. We've got three options now (unless some hyperbolic idiot claims all three will go in the Top 7... as usual). Rivera has been dying to draft one for the longest.

We got the possibly the next Earl Thomas (Hooker), Kam Chancellor (Adams) and Eric Berry (Peppers) to choose from.

Peppers is overrated and doesnt belong mentioned with the other 2 guys you listed. He is a first rounder sure, but averaging 6 tackles a game and not to many pick this season is not elite. He get's more buzz because he plays LB KR and some offense. Fact is he isn''t elite at any of those spots.

You need to think again. As much as you like Ginn he isn't the number one and as long as KB is on the team he never will be. He is a take the top off deep threat. That doesnt make him a number one.

I don't even want to think about drafting a WR round one right now. We have KB who is basically coming into his 3rd year and we have Funchess who I feel is under utilized. And yes Ginn...so drafting whatever wr right now would be taking a side step. Let's develope the two young guys we have and upgrade at a spot where a guy can come in and make a bigger impact. This saftey class is good enough to land an upgrade in the second or TE. Budda Baker as i mentioned and another favorite prospect of mine Curtis Samuels Ohio State is the second coming of Reggie Bush.

We rarely pick In the top 10 these days. Let's not do something crazy and talk about drafting a WR here would would at best come In at WR3(If ginn is gone). We all know our need probably go In this order OT,DE,FS/RB. Unless there is some late riser it probably isn't going to happen at OT. Let's move on from that. DE is unique situation because the pool is bubbling with guys that have the potential to be just what the doctor ordered. But things are really Good right now at the last two positions of need. FS and RB. This Saftey class is amazing(at the top anyway) right along with the RBS coming out. Hooker and Adams are probably day one starters for us and look like amazing prospects in their own right. I can't really be mad at anyone suggesting them at this point. But,I'm sorry...The writing has long been on the wall here. FOURNETTE is the best possible outcome at our pick. Fournette Is that franchise saving player who just happens to be a RB. There are two Rare  once in a generation players in this draft,Garrett and Fournette. Fournette fall into our lap I think we have to take him.

The defense could use some upgrades but the offensive totals are the reason we are where we are right now. We went from number 1 rushing offense to whatever we had going on sunday. Fournette would upgrade the offense with or with out stew. Let's be honest, our depth at rb isn't that good. fozzy and payne aren't scaring anyone. Fournette would thrust up back into the discussion of the best 1-2 punch in the NFC South(Atlanta's still probably slightly better). He is was a man among boys day 1 when he stepped on to the field at LSU. He was ranked the number 1 overall player in this drafts junior class. He is AP freaky. He should fall some just because of the position he plays. It has happened the last two years with Bosa and Lenard Williams. Take the Elite talents guys.

I know most of you are going to say,"This class is deep at RB let's take one latter. Well this class is also just as deep at safety and we could easily be looking at a player like Budda Baker in the second. Just because there are plenty of cars on the car lot doesn't mean a rolls royce and a honda are of the same value. you want the best car.

I agree hole heartedly... and this is coming from someone who didn't want Gurley in the 20s....

Fournette is a generation back...
