lets remember that his quarterback was awful at Michigan which.meant half of the time the ball never even got close to him. Plus as a tight end he would be working routes which don't take advantage of any speed he may have. Funchess came in very raw last year and still has a lot to learn. But he isn't as slow or as bad as you want to portray him.

His QB was bad but that didn't stop Jeremy Gallon from producing. And this whole young thing is bad argument there are a ton of young players who are productive.

Until Funchess shows me he can get separation on a consistent basis, he will continue to be slow in my eyes.

First of all separation isnt about being fast from a straight line point of view but is more related to running good routes and being quick in and out of your break so slow isnt even a useful term. Secondly route running and being quick is more about technique than athleticism. So the concept of being familiar with a pro offense and running the whole route tree.

Finally you are certainly welcome to think he is slow and unproductive.  Fortunately you have nothing to do with the team and his playing time. So your opinion like mine is really irrelevant.

Separation has a lot to do with being fast, check Desean Jackson or Ty Hilton. You can use technique to get separation like Olsen, but the thing with learning technique its not as easy to your implying. Olsen was a good route runner since his Miami days, Funchess has never been a good route runner.

I don't think Funchess slow and unproductive, I know and see he's slow and unproductive and the stats I posted in my OP point that out.
