I get a feeling this offseason is gonna be fun to watch.

(maybe not so much for us)

It's gonna be fun for me just waiting to see how Gettleman goes about righting the ship. I am waiting with much anticipation to see who we acquire in FA and the draft.

I suppose it's not gonna be fun for those who really believed that we were going to sack Rivera, but they should get over it.

Doesn't Matter LA will run them out after 5 years the the city is not a NFL focused area..too many crackheads and transplants!! How many teams do they need to get?? Hell the Chargers could be there next.. They need to hire Eric Dickerson, if they want to set poo right with the Rams!!!

I agree top dawg, though I may be of a different mindset of what caused the ship to go off course. DG finally is out of cap hell and will be able to spend a bit more on veterans to fill holes. Don't expect any huge names but could see some solid guys brought in, especially at TE, DE, SS, WR, etc.

I'm most excited about what will be, by far, the best draft stock that DG has ever had. 8th overall and a 3rd round comp... Ooh boy.

What I most want to see but am not so confident will happen is Shula and Dorsey both long gone. I'm still 95% behind Rivera and that 5% is only due to him being blindly loyal to his staff. DG forced his hand with ST a little while ago so I hope either Ron makes the decision on those two now, or SG forces his hand again.

Even if that doesn't happen I'll be very excited to get guys back from injury and for other personnel improvements. Some important FAs but anticipate we'll have no problems keeping them aside from KK. Addison may be tougher but think we'll be able to hold him.

KK will be one of the most interesting storylines. Have a gut feeling DG will bank on Butler and let KK walk but tag is also very possible, maybe even likely. I'd be cool with a good extension (not top 3-5 DT money).

Oher's situation will be interesting as well, and a possible Smitty 1 day contract and possible Peppers homecoming...

All in all, much more excited about this offseason than last year's coming off the SB loss.

    • Canales was brought in to fix Bryce. That was how he sold himself. He failed.  the panthers need a new qb, someone to coach him, and someone to build a defensive staff.  Canales has failed at developing a new qb. His big draft project XL is trending towards bust. His entire nfl resume before the panthers was one season as offensive coordinator on a stacked Bucs team, and being on the offensive staff when a 31 year old Geno smith finally put it all together. And he didn’t even pick his offensive coordinator. Assuming evero is gone, who’s he got in that phone to call? What low lvl porn addict evangelical from the bucs is ready to be Peter principled? There is nothing in his coaching history or his current performance that indicates he’s the person to move this team forward. Every other team knew this last cycle (panthers were only interview) and nothing has happened to change that perception   all people like you have is “well you can’t do it again it’s too soon but <random interval of time> will be different.  just pull off the bandage. There’s no reason to let this guy draft “his guy” except people wanting an excuse not to fire him after 2025.
    • Both Reich and Canales were saddled with trying to build and establish a viable scoring offense around Bryce Young. The best the offense looked this season and last season was with Andy Dalton who is also terrible but still better than Bryce Young. Which should be all anyone needs to know but still somehow there are weirdos here salivating over a ceiling of maybe on a really good day the 25th best QB in the league. We've already canned one entire staff over our first overall pick. You can fire everyone again to satisfy your need for vengeance and quickly come to the realization that your next hire will absolutely unequivocally be a downgrade yes man or you can blow up this QB room and then assess. If no progress next season then you can make changes and justifiably so.
    • Surprised this is the only post with this take.  This is like the Rhule kiss of death lol.
