Pathetic..protect Luke who is healthy enough to play but let an injured Newton continue to play? As a head coach you don't ask, you tell! This franchise simply does not value Cam Newton.

I do, and it goes beyond just the question of whether Newton should have been protected or not.

I'm pretty sure if Bill Belichick wants a player to sit down he doesn't go up and politely ask him whether he'd care to take a seat.

But regarding the protection issue, Cookie is right. How do you justify benching him for not wearing a tie but then leave him in for this meaningless game?

No Rivera supporter, but this is a reach imo. 

Luke and Cam situations aren't the same. 

Cam is hurt, but he's not injured. Luke isn't anymore either but c'mon, concussions are a whole 'nother thing.
