I saw 4.43 at combine for Thomas and 4.5 for Mathieu also at combine.

I try to look just at combine results, those are hand timed and all the players are dealing with the same conditions.

Pro day times and such can be misleading. 

You might be totally correct that the Thomas/Mathieu comparison might be an overstatement but It won't be because of some random 40 times. 

Mathieu actually had terrible measurables and that is one reason he fell like he did.  And yes I know he off the field issues but if his measurable would have been better people would have overlooked those more.

Whether or not he is a top 10 player will be ultimately decided by coaches and scouts watching countless hours of coaches tape.  I doubt anyone here has took the time to watch every snap of his on All-22 tape.

If we miss on Adams, we could take a chance and draft Eddie Jackson in the mid rounds.  Guy was solid before his injury.  

This. And he is a very good ST return man too. Good depth move at CB plus ST ability would be a good pick IMHO.

You look at the numbers, Barnett has had a better career than Garrett up to this point.

Been pining for the pick to Jamal Adams since about halfway through the season the same way I did for KB after he went to the sky over Clemson and Star when there was concerns about his heart.

Defense would jump right back into the top 10 imo. Top 5 if we find a pass rush.

At this point we need to have the tools to match up with Atlanta and their 10 pass catchers.  I would go with Adams.  He would give us an immediate year one upgrade to go with Worley/Bradberry.

This guy is my number one choice, unless someone Garrett falls (he won't), this is the guy I want at 8.

Adams should be #1 on our board. He is a true SS unlike Hooker and Peppers. He's basically the saftey version of Kuechly. 

We will be in a good position at 8 regardless. Even better if QBs go early

My guess would be that if Keanu Neal was still on the board, Gman would've drafted him over Butler. 

That means, if Jamal Adams is on the board at 8, he'll most likely be a Panther.

Look at how Neal has impacted the Falcons D. Adams is much better and would be a huge contributor, I hope hes the pick
