So, you are telling me you know JR feelings about this? Or that the circumstances surrounding Gmans hiring negates the hierarchy in an NFL Franchise?

Well okay then. Good to know these things.

I mean, that's not how this works. That's not how any of this works.

but that's what it is, remember we are the only team with NFL logo  in the midfield

The one year Dave didn't hit a grand slam in FA we went from 15-1 to 6-10. Is that coaching or not addressing needs? We did by the way find two really good CBs in one draft as well so you cant say Dave bombed on the draft at all.

It's not addressing the need for several years on the offense.

Rivera took a subpar roster into the playoffs in 2014 with Bell &Chandler as your OTs, while losing your #1 WR, LT,DE, S , etc etc  that season showed Ron is top tier coach.

Gettleman is good at finding talent, but it's his lack of investment  in certain areas that I have issue with. My gripe for last year class was taking Butler in the 1st.

My 2017 wish is Rivera will look at Shula's game day play calling and design from a defensive coordinator's vision. Rivera is a fine defensive coach, but not sure he sees from our offense what our opposition does, especially in the 2nd half.

Wonderful observation.  Never thought of this before.  I agree 100%

Cant just pick the stats you want. Dave is not the sole person who has formed this team and both Rivera and McD have been around the same time. Shula has been around longer than Dave as well. Better drafting or not the stats hold up that Rivera has added more defensive talent and drafted them at a higher place than offense.

If you're saying something that can be objectively measured, yes it counts.

Saying we've drafted significantly more on one side than the other is a measurable assertion. And sorry, I'm afraid it doesn't hold up to fact checking.

You want to say Rivera is a defensive coach, yes he's a defensive coach. That's valid.

I have a hard time believing that Dave Gettleman can't fire who needs to be fired but because of Jerry Jones in Dallas, I can actually believe it.

Why would you want to keep a staff that hasn't had back to back winning season. To keep a OC just because we hit 15-1 once and lost the SB is doing the same thing over and over expecting lightening to hit again. You have to evolve and the same people calling the plays will never do that.

I see you think last season was a fluke.

This is how it's worked since Hurney. I mean you are telling me things are different when Dave was told he could not fire Rivera before Dave was hired? So like what has changed? Dave controls personal and that's it.

Rivera won the division in 2014 but it's not really a statement on why he's a good coach. Really he just didn't lose the division. Dave has given Rivera quality players every year. 2016 he just didn't hit it out of the park. Honestly that's not on either because the Hurney effect. I'm giving both a mulligan this year but it's clear both OCs need to be evaluated. Sometimes lack of talent can show coaching weakness.
