I think Thomas is more of a 3T, people would lose their minds if we took another DT early. Barnett is a perfect fit though.

I think he could play strongside DE in a 4-3, but I think his best fit might be 3-4 DE where he probably would slide inside on passing downs.

Yeah I should've specified that, I think he's a DT in 4-3 but DE in 3-4.

I think he'll be a DE. He's 270 pounds. Donald was considered light and he had 15 pounds on Thomas. It'll be interesting because most sites I've looked at have Thomas as a DE. I think it's just that Tennessee runs a 4-3 and Stanford runs a 3-4. I think they are similar players but just playing in different college schemes.

Could be, and I'm sure we'll vet him to see if he fits here. Worst case scenario he's a guy that doesn't fit our scheme and pushes more potential targets down the board.

Our season is over soooooooooo is anyone watching his bowl performance vs UNC, I can't recall the least time I've seen a college player dominate like this. If he keeps this up he may play himself out of our range ( If he hasn't already) but hot damn a man can hope.

Havent watch much of Pac 12 but sounds like a solid prospect, I would still take Myles Garrett

Man its gonna be a real tough decision this year. What if Fournette is still available when we pick? What about Adams vs an edge rusher? So many different things that could happen. Should be a very fun draft.

Not a hard choice at all, Fournette all day.

Running game is part of defense success

Anyway, one reason I think we passed on Derrick Henry, Ogbah and Hunter Henry and selected Butler was because those three positions are so much stronger and deep in this draft than 2016. I think knowing that depth gave him more of a BPA to go with Butler since DTs were way stronger in 2016

I don't think I would ever be convinced that a team could be affected in the current draft by the potential in the draft the following year.

Am I miss membering things? Or was the Huddle, just a few weeks ago, worried about the talent level when we pick? That we needed to tank for a better pick?

Now folks are realizing, there is plenty of talent out there for where we pick. I mean, we are picking top 10. That's where the talent lies, in the top 10.

I'd rather take Bruce Smith or Reggie White than Thomas.

Who cares about Garrett? Unless we trade up with aIseries of picks (which we won't), we have 0 chance for Garrett.

Now to be fair. The odds of getting Garret are much better than getting Reggie, or Bruce.

And let us not forget, Stah wasn't supposed to be there for us either.

For the record. I want Malik McDowell, DL, MSU.
