I seriously doubt it's "fake" as in illegal coming from Dicks. It's just not the higher end version. Only real ones are game worn. The rest are all fake.

I worked at DSG for 7 years and we had to keep an eye out for those. Basically what has happened is that someone came in with a fake jersey and stated that they don't have the receipt for it. So a cashier (probably seasonal help) processed the return without getting someone from apparel to look over it. We had this problem right when Nike took over the NFL jerseys.

yeah i'd think this might be the most likely thing.  probably a jersey somebody bought off aliexpress that looks real enough with the original tags and everything.  people scam pawnshops with fake gibson and fender guitars in the same way.

I don't know what kind of relationships y'all have with your girlfriends but if my fiancee spent her money on a jersey she thought was authentic and it was a cheap Chinese rip off because she didn't know any better I'm definitely telling her...ESPECIALLY if she paid authentic jersey money on it.  I don't want a knock off jersey and she doesn't want to waste her money.
