Side Note: Word is Josh McCown may go into coaching.

Hue Jackson reportedly offered him a spot on the Browns staff if he wants it.

I did notice that. Could be interesting as a QB coach candidate, but seems very unlikely. Certainly not to go straight to OC as his first coaching job.

McCown is the kind of player that tends to succeed as a coach. Not super talented, but very smart and knows the ins and outs of the game well.

I don't think it's true but if such were to happen, it's what we expected because there needs to be a sacrificial lamb...or two. I wouldn't be surprised, especially after that interview Shula gave where he said basically it's not all Cam's fault--it's coaching, it's protection, it's inconsistency, etc. The day he came out and held himself accountable, I knew something. If Shula stays, I wouldn't be surprised if Dorsey is gone because remember, there has to be a scapegoat.

The thing is that bad head coaches making sacrifices of his assistants is usually a sure sign of just putting off the inevitable.

Dorsey and shula need to both go, but if I had to pick one it would be Dorsey.... Hommie you were garbage in the NFL, you got by in college because of your athleticism. Your trash. Go teach high schoolers how to be a QB.

Those Miami teams he quarterbacked were loaded with NFL talent.

    • I'm not saying he should be working in the NFL. He did deserve some criticism as DC there. But Kyle Shanahan certainly did use him as a convenient scapegoat. Now there is no one left to throw under the bus. Anyways he could find his way back to the league in some capacity who knows. But he's old school and in the NFL you either adjust or you get left behind. All the same no hard feelings toward him he's a good guy.
    • he has barely suited up for 50% of our games.  It matters pending how much of our cap and resources go that way.  If he cost in the ballpark of a Surtain? No thank you.  Let someone else  And as far we know what happens when we let talent walk away or trade them…..that’s a mixed bag.   should we of paid Norman, Bradberry at CB? They probably had earned the right to be called better than Horn at that moment of the decision.  Do we regret that? Do we regret Star walking? Can take it back to Spoon.  Flip side is probably Peppers.
    • We need to get better in the redzone. And yes that is an issue that involves all the moving parts. Oline receivers QB and playcalling. But Bryce himself has to lead the charge on that or surely we could face another blowout in one of these upcoming games. Every team no matter how good they are is going to face an opponent that imposes their will on them and requires the same in response. Those are the games where we have got to capitalize on drives. Honestly I get the sense that the Chiefs on some level overlooked us.  So while I am pleased we were as competitive as we were it certainly remains to be seen if this was the beginning for something new or just an anomaly. I think that's a perfectly fair take at this juncture.
