Ice...I am hoping for the best for you and your wife.  I hope you can enjoy every moment you have together, in spite of the fear that you must feel for her.

Much appreciated... When our son was born it provided a lot more anxiety when she would have episodes, but we've slowly started to focus on the now with a watchful eye on the future.

Probably not the place to say this but I keep hearing about 2016 taking everyone. People die continuously. Whether they are famous or not somebody is affected. A year is just an artificial bracket of time that means nothing more than May to May or whatever else you want to define a frame of time as.

Many of those that passed were highly influential to those born in the 80s/90s. Only natural that people express grieving over something that they feel they lost from their childhood, especially when the frequency of it was so relentless. Carrie Fisher two days ago and then Debbie Reynolds yesterdat, Prince + Bowie, Ali, etc etc. Lots of icons.

To add to that, if that individual has not had a very good year in general (our household went from the best year of our lives last year (married, started career, first born, 15-1) only to be brutalized this year (finances, medical issues, family needing help, etc)), then they're probably not going to take the death of an individual (or individuals) that influenced them well.

I remember when John Lennon and John Belushi died. Effected me, What's weird is I really didn't know... Lennon all that much then, but I knew something big had happened. Belushi was just at the height and I was a SNL fan, and loved Neighbors. About the the only celebrity that's dies now, that would really fug me up would be Jimmy Page.

...and Hayden.

lol not really a good movie, but John was going to be huge...
