Smart phones...Galaxy 7 vs google Pixel

Time to upgrade and there are some specials this week.  For me I think it is between these phones. Know anything about them?

I've had a Galaxy 6 for about 6 months. I was going for the 7 and the sales person told me she was much happier with the 6 than the 7. 

...then the Pixel came out.... 

I think the Pixel may be the better choice.

Just found out that the Pixel is made by HTC.  Does that matter?  Have never had one of their products.

Got the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge last night. It's great. Lightyears better than the HTC One M8 I had beforehand.

Looked at the LG V20? The commercial with the musicians? Jason Gordon Levitt on the drums? 

Supposed to be a good phone as well...

That all sounds great, but keep in mind that the dual camera setup trails the imaging experience you'll get on rival devices, including the iPhone 7 Plus, Samsung Galaxy S7 or either of Google's Pixel phones. What's more, the V20 isn't waterproof -- a feature we've come to expect on high-end handsets -- and it's also difficult to use one-handed. All told, then, it's a good phone, just not necessarily your best option.

I had to make the same decision a few weeks ago. Went with the S7 thought it was a better choice for me. Had the S6, thought it was a great phone, but the 7 is way better in  my opinion. Got back  SD card expansion, waterproof, and better battery life than the 6. I thought the Pixel was a bit pricy for what you got. but most likely either way you go you should be happy.
