Steelers' handling of Ben a map for Panthers & Cam

You're correct about Olsen, who may have lost a step with age, but Jordan Reed is not faster. Guess who is though. Ladarius Green of the Steelers.

Jared Cook is faster as well. Vernon Davis may still be the fastest however.

I bet you they've dropped more balls that a dog pound tho. Olsen catches everything in his path. It's rare that he drops anything. You can't say that about Cook, Green or Davis. He's definitely in the top 3 fastest TE's in the league and has hands to boot.

All we need is our Antonio Brown. Ginn isn't even close to that. he's mostly a one trick pony. KB and Funchess are possesion type, move the chains man. Like I said, we need that one shifty, crisp route running, speedster that can blow the top off a defense. That's hard as hell to find. I'm not sure there is one in this draft. Then again, he could be, just like Antonio, in the later rounds. Gettleman has the eye for it. It's just does he have the vision for it. Does the brass really believe this will be the way things should be handled and is there a need? We all know it, Cam and the offense know it. I surely hope Gettleman and the brass know it.

Here was the Pitt map for Big Ben

when he arrived:  give him great defense and a rush attack and ask him to do little

let him grow...

current blueprint:  give him some of the best skill position players in all the NFL

we ain't following that map

Oh, I agree about Olsen. The thing is though, we absolutely need to start grooming his replacement. I think that it's even harder to find  a TE of his caliber than it is to find a sure-handed, "route-ologist" with good speed at WR.

AB is one of a kind. The Steelers hit the jackpot! We hit it once when we chose 89. I am not going to put that type of expectation on Gettleman (though maybe I should considering his tooting his own horn about his expertise as a scout), but, like you said, Gettleman has to have the vision.

BTW, Green has excellent speed, size and hands.
