Let's be honest here. We just need a QB who WON'T turn the ball over and can occasionally complete a long pass to Smith. The rest of the team can handle the rest. What they cannot handle is always being on the field and in a bad position at that. Lately, the D doesn't have any advantages when they take the field. Always with the bad field position. At least that's the way I feel.

If you said that based on week one, I might agree. Having seen week two, I can't.

They were on the field too long last week because they couldn't get themselves off the field, not because the offense was sputtering. The one pick there was didn't come till the end and even the fluky fumble by Williams didn't put them in an awful position.

Wans't really true last year either. Mike Trgovac ran a bend-don't-break scheme because he was deathly afraid of big plays. The approach sucked. Meeks doesn't share that philosophy of course, but for other reasons, so far the results haven't been especially better.

Have you seen Garcia play outside of the West Coast offense? he did it with Detroit and Cleveland and sucked both times.

System matters. Hence the term "system QB".

Are we talking about the same kevin kolb?? the one with 4-7 td's-ints...the same one with a 69 QB rating?? being better than Jake? Kolb didnt have a touchdown before this year, and now he had one 2 td game (which was mostly YAC anyways) and he's suddenly better than jake, let's be serious

We need to grab one of them. Cobb is looking real good, wonder if we could make a deal for him.

I'd rather have Mcnabb,even if he is older and a little injury prone!
