That bomb to Gettis is what I remember most about 2010. Brian St Pierre, a guy sitting on a couch the week before gave me a sliver of hope that we might actually win a game.

Of course, he then imploded with two pick sixes. Gettis might've been the one bright light from 2010 but got hurt and never recovered.

i watched the season finale in -30 degree weather to see dwayne jarrett catch the only touchdown of his career. that that was the high point of the entire season says everything you need to know.

Wait. Lame Jarrett actually caught a touchdown? I don't even remember that he did.

People may think KB is a bum but believe me, Jarrett takes the crown.

Some of these fickle fairweather fans here, and on the Panthers Facebook page deserve to have to witness an eternity of Jimmy playing QB.

These people think they've earned a successful franchise. No you haven't. Not acting like a belligerent negative jackass that can only handle the highs, only to turn into a grown up version of Ralph Wiggum when we lose. I f*cking loathe these fans.

I'd add David Carr as well. Watch as the gloved wonder run backwards at the slightest sign of pressure and collapse to a fetal position as he takes the sack. I've never seen a quarterback play so scared in my life. Brutal to watch.

At least the saving grace was seeing him miss a game, bringing in an ancient Vinny Testaverde and winning. An underrated great memory.

By far the most painful season of my life

I concur x4, so so painful. That was my last time I when to the stadium, it sucked my soul out that day. The offense could literally never get past the 50 for the whole season, like once a game was the average.

I'll never forget the feeling of impending doom whenever that squad was backed up against their own goal line.

lol what a throwaway season

You ain't lying. You just knew we weren't going to move the ball but maybe 4 or 5 yards on runs, and the opposing team would have great field position and score quickly. Once they scored, that was pretty much game. Time to go home...and it would only be the 1st quarter

    • Hope Koch recovers (he’s stated numerous times he doesn’t like to be called “koochie”) soon. But he does not instill confidence in the crease. I don’t have any confidence in any of our goalies, healthy or not. Andersen when available gives us the best chance to win but he’s never available.    Team has to explore trade options soon.
    • Respectfully, I completely disagree. Last year we were:  32nd in Sacks. 32nd in Turnovers.  32nd in Rushing TDs allowed  29th in Scoring.  We were absolutely atrocious on defense last year and that was with a full stable of weapons in Derek Brown, Frankie Luvu and Brian Burns that played all 17 games.  Using yards per game as a metric to guage our success lacks the context that because our offense was so inept teams were not driving the length of the field, they were starting at their 40-50 yard line.  This year, our Defense ranks:  31st in Sacks. Tied for 19th in Turnovers  31st in Rushing TDs allowed 32nd in Scoring  His defense fails to get pressure, fails to turn the ball over and fails to stop the run. Three things you absolutely have to do to be successful in the NFL.  Denver meanwhile has not missed a beat without him.  If another team wants to hire him as a HC and the Panthers get two 3rds for it I'll wish him the best and pack his bags myself.
