Panthers 2016 Season: A Poem

It's been a hard season for Panther fans, a huge disappointment after a Superbowl 50 run with the league's number 1 scoring offense. From injuries, coaching, to level of play, many things helped concoct the mess that 2016 brought.

So, to express this season in a poem - well, here it is:

 

Panthers 2016 season

 

It began with a rematch at Mile High, 

With Gano's kick - a mile wide

Then to IR Oher went;

With Cam his quarterback: smashed and bent

 

Cam Newton hit - refs won't bat an eye

But God forbid anyone else gets swat like a fly

Fourth quarter leads; a joy to see

Until the Panthers...give it away for free

 

A season of injuries; missed opportunities, blame

Playoff chance - fizzled out like a flame

But hope is not lost; no, it's not

With 2017 comes - another shot
