Merry Christmas Huddle: A Nice Play By Bradberry To Warm Your Heart

First of all, I just finished watching the actual game yesterday after being busy when it was live.

Thank goodness I didn't see it live, otherwise I would've been highly disappointed and not see the game the way it was.

It was really a game of missed opportunities, and costly mistakes - not a talent issue at all.

If Cam Newton didn't throw those interceptions, and had good footwork on some of his throws; we'd be talking about a 40+ game here by us.

The Falcons employed attacking us in the middle of the field against our linebackers and safeties. What I noticed is how we got gashed in the middle of the field consistently by short plays by their speed running-backs. They were able to take advantage of the 1-2 yard cushion our linebackers and safeties consistently gave in the middle of the field due to our zone scheme, and just beat us by pure speed.

As good as Thomas Davis is, he's just not as fast as he used to be. This was nowhere near a good match-up for them at all, especially without Luke Kuechly.

Aside all that, what really stood out is how amazing our cornerbacks played that game. Especially Bradberry

Take a look at this egregious play:

This play was extremely similar to one that Ryan tested on Bene a Falcon game prior:

As you can see, Bradberry was able to stick with Julio all throughout his route, while Bene got beat real early.

This is why the Falcons remained pre-dominantly with their runningbacks; they knew that without Kuechly + the fact Thomas Davis just isn't that fast anymore, they could gash up the middle with pure speed and win that matchup. They knew going in that our cornerbacks are gelling, and the few times they did try testing them proved to be futile for the most part.

Don't blame our corners when they're not the issue.

Also, Bradberry is going to be a beast. He already proved that he can cover top receivers like Julio, and I can't wait to see what his future holds.

Which has nothing to do with what I said.

If you were replying to my main post, I never mentioned Josh Norman.

I only mentioned Bene as the other corner. You're insinuating then that you meant if we still had Bene and Bradberry we would be in the playoffs, so I answered with a logistical answer based on that.

(TL;DR It's a joke to mess with you)
