Throwing off his back foot...even with no pressure...this far in his career shows he isn't willing to learn to better himself, he may have unique talent, but the man had got to get better. Period.

How mad were you with the back foot throws last season?

I don't know that it means he isn't willing to learn it could be that the coaches we have don't know the proper way to teach him. All people learn things differently so it's entirely possible Shula and Dorsey just don't have the proper method to teach Cam.

Or if you buy in to what alot of people on this board seem to think then Cam could just be the worst, laziest bum of a qb to ever play in the NFL and every good play in his career was entirely someone else's doing and had nothing whatsoever to do with him, his work ethic or his talent.

Cam is supremely gifted and it's painful to watch him, in comparison to last year's dominant performances, play so poorly most of this season. It's easy to get discouraged and I am as well as most of us. But he also had a hell of a game one week ago. He's not what he used to be for numerous reasons: he's lost confidence in all of his receivers save for Olsen (and rightfully so), he's not as invested in the game when the team struggles, his footwork is terrible and other players are allowed to cheap-shot him without penalty so he has to play with more bumps and bruises than others. It's a hodge-podge of things. But what makes people great is how they respond to adversity. We'll see how he is next year.

Hey, at least it looks to me like Cam has finally been conditioned to be perfectly OK with losing, so the portion of the Carolina fan-base that has been begging for that from Cam should be happy, right?

I think it's a mixture of him being stubborn and coaches not pushing him to correct it, more so on the coaches

I've always hated it... his spiral has always been ugly and wobbly,  his deep balls are horrible, and his easy money passes sail high. All that is a result of poor footwork and throwing motion.

Our paths have never crossed here, as far as I am aware. I do however read many comments, including yours. And I have enjoyed them. However, any amount of "forum" respect I had was just lost in one single post. I hope you didn't mean that.

You want to see a racist asshole, go find a mirror.

Cam has so much God given ability, it's scary. But it has nothing to do with the color of his skin. And nobody brought that up, except for you. If we get a kickass LT, does Cam's skin tone become a nonfactor?

Dallas is doing well this year, go pull for them. If the color of the QB is so god damned important to you.

Lol@ the white rage towards Cookie. As though the thought of a significant portion of this fan base being bigots is preposterous. There is legit criticism and then there's the couching of racism in bullshit complaints about his mechanics and "work ethic", etc.  We have some incredible human beings in our ranks, but the drafting of Cam Newton has, unfortunately, shone the light on the significant number of cockroaches among us as well.

It's a knee jerk thread. Just like the one you made where you said you were done. Drink some whiskey or something, and think a little more before you post.

Take some time and read the post again, before you post another knee-jerk comment.

According to you, because I'm not a fan of the team, because I'm done with them,  I'm not allowed to watch football anymore? That's rich, because the same post also said I'd always be a fan of the game, as I have been longer than you've been alive.

Stop defending Cam long enough to comprehend the OP.

“I look at even best quarterbacks that they said played this game, and mechanically, it’s not about that,” he said. “It’s about completions.”

-----Cam Newton, December 8, 2016

If you fail to see the problem with Cam Newton in this Cam Newton quote, I can't help you.
