You've Seen the Best of Cam...

And it was last season.

Sadly, when this team fails to build and pay an offensive line that will stay together for a few years, designs plays that take forever to develop and wants him to throw from the pocket, he just won't get any better.

He is a thrower, not a passer. He doesn't have anyone to coach and build his mechanics, he's lost more than a step and cannot look off DBs. The offense is Pop Warner predictable and it doesn't look to me like anyone on offense has Cam's back except Olsen.

Sorry, Panther fans, your QB was born with huge athletic talent, has immeasurable potential and could be one of the best to ever play the game, but I simply cannot see it happening as a Carolina Panther with this coaching staff; a corporate philosophy which doesn't put winning at the top of its priority list, a GM who has been exposed as an egomaniac and an owner who is so completely out of touch its embarrassing.

Didn't you make a thread not too long ago declaring how done you are with this team?

Same poo, different year.

Been the same song, and dance for going on 7 years.

Certain Panthers fans wait for him to fail, then trot out the I told you so's because they never wanted him in the first place. For some weak minded people, taking solace in a perceived validation of their opinions/biases trumps winning. That is some seriously pathetic poo.

The real Panthers fans need to take this fanbase from these fairweather pansies.

No fairweather fan is watching a 6-8 team get waxed by their division rival on Christmas eve.

This fan base is full of racist assholes who don't want a black QB.

lol wut? Most people love Cam. It's when we criticize Cam we are labeled racist and I'm black! The fan base is full of people who became Panther fans when Cam was drafted and think he is above the team. He isn't.

    • Too late to edit above but the quote is from this Diane Russini article in the Athletic: https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/5941684/2024/11/23/russinis-what-im-hearing-the-day-the-jets-fell-apart-and-the-broncos-rallied-belichick-best-fits/ Okay.. there you have sorry I left that out the first post.  Also waivers keep the contract intact. That is the major difference in released and waived. It's all in that link from the other post.
    • Okay so I am reading something in The Athletic and it says that Jones had to pass through waivers. So I don't know. I looked this stuff up when we were number one there all offseason and I thought it said 4 years in the league got you vested, as they call it.  Vested gets you out of waivers as I understood it. I probably got something wrong, but when I think about the slack quality of journalism these days I wonder about that. So I went and looked, again. Well, well.  For everyone: "When a player has accrued at least four seasons in the NFL, they are considered a vested veteran. When these vested veterans get cut, they are released and their contract is terminated. When a vested veteran is released, they are an unrestricted free agent that can sign with any NFL team, and the team that released them doesn’t need to provide any additional compensation." It runs it all down here, where the quotes came from: https://www.profootballnetwork.com/waived-vs-released-nfl/ As far as Jones, the team turned down his 5th year option so I knew that meant he had 4 years in, because they re-signed him anyway, after turning down the much cheaper extra year.  The Athletic is owned by the New York Times so I shouldn't be surprised. That paper was an institution once upon a time but they let their standards go.
