Our offense is 14th in the league this year in ppg,

I would like to see some upgrades on offense as well but we have needs on the defensive side of the ball also

Do not let garbage points ruin the stats. Plenty of games where we were given points to milk the clock (at least seems that way I could be wrong). Our defense is something that can be solved in free agency. It is hard to pass up on improving the offense. Especially when your running back has missed games in almost every season. He has not gotten 1,000 yards rushing in 7 years. That is a long time. I know Cam rushes too but you could help protect your quarterback more by not making him rush all the time.

Jamal Adams all in.  Watching Boston being out of position week after week is painful.  Coleman was playing at a probowl level hawking at FS all the way to the NFLs #2 in picks

Its no coincidence that all the top Corners are out there playing with top Safeties.  And especially in Zone D where it is a matter of position, no conrer can make up for bad safety play

If we are picking in that 8-12 spot there is a very good chance that both Adams and Fournette are gone already.  

Also it wouldn't surprise me if Robinson is off of our board.  Or, he might go before our pick with how desperate teams are for LTs.

For those of you that really want offense in the first round who would you be willing to take in that 8-12 range if Fournette and Robinson are gone already.

Probably WR, Corey Davis from Western Michigan to bring legit competition to the receiving core or perhaps Dalvin Cook

We have a lot of issues.

We have 2 G's on the oline that play well.  Center is hurt and old, tackles not up to par

WRs don't finish routes, drop balls and are afraid of contact

WRs are old and expensive, TE still has a couple years left, QB is hot and cold but more and more, will have to limit his running

Yes, we have a lot of issues on the offense.

 

On the defense, we have issues, but also some bright spots

The DE's have played a bit better in the last few games, but overall were non existent for the first half of the season.  We need a playmaker there.  Butler is flashing some great signs, so I feel decent about DT's going forward

LB's are up in the air.  Keeks concussions are a ticking time bomb.  Not sure how long TD stays, maybe one more, Klein a FA I think and Shaq is a good starter, but not a team leader

DB's.  Safeties are not smart and are out of place continually.  Bradberry is learning fast and will be fine.  Need another guy, probably a vet for Worley to sit behind for another season.

FA thin on OT's and DE's, so we have hour work cut out for us

Team will probably ignore the offense again and struggle to move the ball. Just a guess here. Reason why Dak is succeeding in Dallas. He has a great O-Line, good receivers, and a great running back.

Thing is. This OT is being said by most as the weakest OT class this decade.  Throwing a pick and reaching for a OT just because you need one doesnt do any good.  And outside of Fournette theres not a RB worth a pick that high especially considered when you can get one just as good in the 2nd or 3rd.  

And lets not forget, our defense is still struggling.  You throw out Dallas but how quick are you to forget that this same Panthers team (only losses were due to injury this season).  They were #1 in offense  and was much much more powerful than what Dallas is producing now.  Meanwhile the defesne gave up Big leads last year causing close games at the end.  The defense is bad this year, drafting a playmaker on D wont be a bad thing at all. 

Defense wins championships.  You can throw out the Dallas OL this or that, but by the #'s  we had one of the best Offenses historically  last year (theres a reason denver was the biggest underdog in superbowl history via vegas and everyone was giving them no chance)  and we still lost in the superbowl when we met a top Defense
