Vernon Butler was our highest graded defender last night

Vernon will be a good piece for us, but he's gonna get a bad rap for a long time because it was a position that we didn't really need.  In fact, I think he's great, but you can only play so many DT's at any given time and with us desperately lacking at OT, Safety, DE, and Corner at the time, it just comes across as a luxury pick that could have been better served in another area.  The Good news is that Atleast at corner, I personally have really loved the improvement that Bradberry and Worley have made, but we're still lacking in those other 3 positions.

If KK is still asking for Cox money this offseason we'll be real glad to have Butler.

So GETTLEDOUCHE doesn't suck after all???

You're telling me Butler, Worley and Bradberry might just pay off??? Nope! Impossible. Shaq was... oh. Well, what about Norwell... wait. Then how come Turner...?

Funchess sux!!! Therefore Gettleman sux, guise!

It's disappointing that Funchess and Kony Ealy have not developed as hoped but they have been given every opportunity to succeed.

This next draft will be our best opportunity to find Stewart's eventual replacement too. I think we it's a must to address it this year with one of the stud running backs available

And a very difficult replacement to find. Injuries and riding the bike aside, when it comes to getting the difficult yards, JStew is really hard to beat, about as hard nosed as they come.  He makes more out of 3 hard, tough ass yards than just about anyone I've seen.

As a defender, he is a pure nightmare. He goes balls out non stop, a punisher that will break your spirit or break a long run.  I think in a few years, some will look back and see what a precious commodity he was.

Love has outplayed Paul Soliai this season. Don't be surprised if we cut Soliai and re-sign Love for 1 more year.

this will happen 100 percent. Signing Soliai is without a doubt Dave worst FA(for players who are gettting more than the league min) he has ever made.

Butler was a good pick; he simply needs to develop a bit.  He has..  Bradberry was a great pick (I hated it a the time) and Worley is really stepping up.  I think we need to re-sign our DTs and draft a DE.  I am guessing CJ is gone. I even say Boston is better.

We should also take a look at LB in the draft.  We can assume 2017 will be Davis' last year (or he will start dropping off) and Klein will go for starter money somewhere else.  I do not see Thompson as a Davis replacement--but maybe I am wrong.  I also expect Jeremy Cash to step up and play more next year.  On defense, we simply need a DE and LB--maybe  a S.

Addison will get a big time contract from someone else. We have a better shot of re-signing CJ.

I think he will get paid, and someone could go crazy with an offer, but he is not a double-digit guy and is not a run-stuffing DE--interesting to watch how the NFL values him.  I think CJ will come back on another 1 year deal., but he could retire.
