NFL already responding to Newton hit (like always)

Lumps is an old school Newton shitposter that used to complain all the time about the mere existence of Newton threads for example. He's been really really quiet up until this season.

His stance on this is not remotely surprising. Don't even bother.

The argument that he's big, strong and runs is bullshit and anyone who believes that knows it. That's not an excuse for no calls. He's a quarterback and all quarterbacks get the same protection. The refs know good and damn well what is and what isn't an illegal hit. Protection rules aren't that muddy. We're not talking about a catch, we're talking about a defenseless QB in the pocket and a sliding QB out of bounds.

Right and I wish Rivera would stop saying that as well. It's just excusing this BS against Cam.

At some point this fanbase is just going to have to realize that the NFL does not want a QB like Cam Newton to be the image of the league unless he is going to be the aw shucks conformist non threatening black quarterback like Russell Wilson that celebrates the right way, and doesn't challenge stereotypes for caucasian fans.

Stop bullshitting.

Thinking there is some secret conspiracy/agenda within the NFL that tens of people are in on all keeping quiet about against Newton make you sound stupid. Playing the race card makes you sound really stupid and just hurts credit towards the argument by derailing from the issue and to some personal issue and insecurity.

Newton is a big, fast, strong QB and calls are not as clear cut. He doesn't just sit in the pocket and he will lose protection when he starts looking and running up field. It is clear MANY of you only watch Panther games because there are plenty of weekly no calls for other players/QBs in the NFL, especially the no namers.

This was a close call. The contact happened after sliding however the player launched himself before Newton slides. The player did not aim for Newton's head and did not appear malicious. Now there was helmet to helmet and per rules a flag should have been thrown.

Newton cuts it close and he needs to protect himself by either staying upright knowing a defender is launching himself at his hip or ne needs to slide sooner. This is what Rodgers will do. Smaller QBs can afford to slide later rather than sooner much more than Newton can.

Officials are missing calls due to that fact, newtons size, and his playing style mixed with muddy rules regarding qb protection. What the league needs to do is clarify the rules and penalize referees from missing calls according to rules.

Bruh, from the people that run countries, large organizations or your small town city council......there are all kinds of bias' and bs agendas that get put in play and that impact things.

The NFL referee world is a TINY community big picture.  It isn't a grand conspiracy to think they have a bias about how to officiate a freak player who has uniquely called them out.

True, then wonder why nothing has changed. When the organization is following suit with the "Cam is big and strong" narrative publicly, whatever that's happening behind the scenes becomes null and void.

Like I said earlier in the season, it's an eye for an eye. You slam Cam late, we slam your QB into pieces. I'd bet Cam can walk away better than the other QB and it's the only way to protect Cam.

Only we get flagged and the game gets stacked toward the opponent.

The NFL has failed to protect CAM. Anyone who understands football and actually watches NFL games in general can't deny that FACT.

The panthers front office have failed CAM. We have yet to add HIGH DRAFT ASSETS to the Oline to help protect CAM because we damn well know the NFL refuses too. The front office also fails CAM by not aggressively publicly protesting the NFL for their blatant disregard for CAM right to equal QB protection. Again, anyone who watches NFL games cannot deny there are one set of rules for certain QB's and NO rules when it comes to CAM.

Fug the NFL and their pus#y ass referees.
