It's OK to publicly admit folks, it feels great knocking off the Redskins and Josh Norman from the playoffs...

Feels good to me. I was all for making sure we got a great draft pick, but potentially knocking them out is really nice.

It's nice.  Can't have everything.  Bye bye top ten.  Hopefully others can win to even stay in the top 15.  Maybe your wish of having a first round OT without reaching may be a reality after all.

I am so happy.  All is forgiven

i just want my team to play like professionals and with passion and a little joy.  I so wanted to believe that the Panthers had become a sustainable, unique and  passionate team, and they fell with a thud

thank God above for the silence of the Redskin fans and please God, if it's not too much to ask, no Seattle or Redskins next year.

That is absolutely not the case.  It was during that stretch we were starting Zack fuging Sanchez and Benwikere, not to mention Oher going out, and obviously losing Cam for a game.

We cut Bene so that's self inflicted, oher going out was replaced by Williams who play better or equal to his production. Stew is always injured.

It is absolutely the case, injuries is an excuse. Plenty of other teams have play through them

Dude, Gettleman should have NOT have rescinded Norman's tag. Norman should have been playing for us this year, on the tag. Norman playing on the tag this year wouldn't have hurt us in the slightest, and we would have still had Bradberry on the other side.

As far as only one more game with Norman, I laugh. We would have had at least two more victories, and maybe three or four.

I am glad we beat the Skins, but it has nothing to do with Norman, and everything to do with family members who are Skins fans needling me about a month ago.

Which 2, 3 or 4? The guy is really average at best, not shut down corner salary. Damn sure hasn't earned franchised salary and glad it was rescinded.

The games we probably would have one have already been discussed in this thread.  Whether Josh has earned a franchise salary is completely subjective (http://www.espn.com/blog/washington-redskins/post/_/id/29177/josh-norman-hasnt-transformed-redskins-d-but-hes-added-value) I read somewhere earlier this season that he was a top 15 corner in the league at the time, and he hasn't been playing horribly, so I assume he is still somewhere within that range. The bottom line is is that he would have helped our defense this year, and likely would have even been better playing for us than he has in Washington because he was intimately familiar with our system.

I can understand why Gettleman didn't want to pay Norman so much money on a longer term contract, but Norman should have been allowed to play on the tag this season, and I think that's pretty much undeniable, even for people who want to reluctantly give him his props this year, when the stats and the rankings say that he is still someone that you want on your team.  Some within the Huddle have clung to false narratives over the years about players who are no longer on the team, but, like I said, bottom line is that Norman hasn't been playing badly this year, and we'd have really been in the playoff hunt had he been here.

You are correct he would have helped. My point is the defense, specifically the secondary was responsible for two losses, Atlanta and New Orleans. We had Teddy Williams, a broken Bene and Zachary Sanchez logging a ton of time in the losses. Norman absolutely helps there but I think Ryan and Brees would have still easily picked apart the other guys.

There are so many other things that really made a difference this year. We held Sanders and Thomas to 90 yards, so what else would Norman have done against Denver? Gano and wasting timeouts blew the Denver game. Against Minnesota Benjamin's penalty lost the game and Rudolph on the LBers and Ss was their weapon. Diggs was leading the league in yardage after the first two weeks and he had 4-40 against us. I think you picked two games where Norman wouldn't have made a difference and where other parts of the team were responsible for the loss.

I get your point. I do. But one play here or there, and the game is won. Norman's very presence would have changed the chemistry of the entire defensive backfield so much, and it's those couple of plays in a game, where the receivers may not be having the best statistical day that can swing the game the other way.

I'm happy we didn't overpay for an overrated corner and got younger corners with potentially higher ceilings and much better character

not sure how josh got a bad character rap. he's a hard-working guy, well liked in the locker room, stays out of trouble off the field. he's no thomas davis but not very many people are.

Games over.

Panthers play well on MNF, get the win. This is a "feel good win" as the panthers played well tonight as a team.

Many of you are sick of Redskin fans as you have to deal with them quite a bit living in NC. So that's nice.

Yeah it hurts draft position, but so what!

Ohh and they spoiled Normans revenge game against the Panthers, which makes me happy.

Enjoy the offseason redskin douchebags!

The Panthers are the SPOILERS,besides a couple draft positions is meaningless, the draft is a crapshoot,ie Jeff Otah,Dwayne Jarrett, possibly Kelvin B if he doesn't tighten up!
