What he says in a press conference is completely irrelevant. Did you not see him laying into the ref after that play? Rivera certainly cares and does what he can. And frankly, that play wasn't a big deal. Clearly hit him just as he went into the slide, not after he had already slid. Defender couldn't do anything to avoid that at all. It could've been called as it sometimes is in this league but most of the time it isn't. Not a big deal on that one.

I agree about Rivera. He's playing the politics during pressers, and it's probably smart. (Although it doesn't seem to be doing any good)

As far as the hit? Players almost give themselves concussions trying to get out of the way when other QBs slide. So..
