the black players peacefully protesting the national anthem is not what is hurting viewership. It's the over-saturation of the NFL in general accompanied with the absolutely horrible officiating. The officiating is bad from top to bottom and it certainly starts with Goodell and that clown Dean Blandino. The fact that we, as fans, know the names of officials (and in some cases even have information on their personal lives) should raise a red flag. They can turn momentum in a game. I can't stand it and it really has effected my viewership. 

The NFL needs to wake up and get full time refs with much more stringent physical and mental requirements for the job. 60 year olds have no business trying to keep up with the insane athletes in the NFL.
