Should the Panther's Welcome Kemo back next year with a pink slip?

I know it sounds harsh, but last year, he was injured down the stretch, and he will have missed this entire season. He is also 30. I just think that pending on FA and draft moves, maybe he should be among next years cuts. On a side note, I didn't know that Lewis was pushing 32.

It depends. If its obvious the injury has damaged his ability to perform then yes you let him go. It also depends on who we sign and who we have at DT. Lewis is alright but he belongs in a back up role, but I think he does have some leadership qualities.

Yes. We were already weak there at the end of last season with him in. We needed 1 or 2 more DTs before he even got hurt. We can use that money to get an upgrade at that position.

Even though I like Kemo I wouldn't be opposed to the idea of cutting him. He's way overpaid for a one dimensional DT. Kemo is a good player but he's not a difference maker. Kemo dosen't fit Ron Meeks scheme so there's no reason why the Panthers need to keep overpaying him. If The Panthers want to run an effective Cover 2 D, they need to sign a DT who can rush the passer.

Either kemo or lewis needed to be replaced heading into this season....they weren't good enough last year.
