Yes, I know that McCaffrey declared. I am wanting to draft him if he falls to the 2nd round in 2017. That would give the Panthers Stewart and McCaffrey in 2017. Then go after Bo Scarbrough in 2018 to replace Stewart by 2019.

That is how I want the RB position addressed.

Fix the 3rd down offense in 2017. Fournette will see little to no snaps on 3rd down.

Meh, I think McCaffrey last until New England.  Then he's gone.

Yes they are. Barry Sanders -3 and Walter Peyton -4 and you're a retard if you wouldn't take those 2 in the top 5, even today.

Also you'd be a retard if you wouldn't take Adrian Peterson in this draft top 5.

It's about the player not the position.

Dude??? No need for that type of language. If you cannot sway someone to your way of thinking. Maybe you could try another tactic other than calling folks names?

Or just continue being a bully. It's the new year. As good as time as any to take the high road.

I already said it: if Fournette is considered that guy, then he's the pick if he's on the board. I don't have any doubt about it.

The thing is, Stewy is not that slow. Is Fournette that much faster? Because they are close to the same size, they run with the same ferocity, and they both bounce off of weak tackles.

I have seen Fournette play a few times, as I live here in SEC country. And I just have not seen anything that makes me see a #8 pick. Maybe if we were at 28 or so. But at 8, I want a sure fire stud of an athlete. I just am not convinced Fournette fits that bill.

IMO, when you are picking as high as we are this year. There are two main positions you look for. LT, and DE. If you can get the former, you take him. If you miss the former, you take the latter.

There is some DE talent in this draft, so it wouldn't surprise me if we nabbed one. But man, no matter who we take, he is going to be one of the best players in the draft. And that is the type of talent we have not been able to add in since Gmans' first draft.

I mean, think about this. In 13 with the 14th, and 44th pick we got Stah, and KK. This year we have the 8th and what, 40th. Just think what we may wind up with?!

Hey, I love Stew. I think that he can still be super effective, but age beats everyone, and since he's not going to last forever, I think it's high time to think about the future. Plus, adding his heir apparent just may prolong his career. He's going to have to take a pay cut though.

I like what I've seen if Fournette, and I'm not going to second guess the experts. He's a big, strong back that has a modicum of breakaway speed, and breaks tackles with the best of them. Plus he is a willing blocker, and an underrated pass catcher. I'd have no problem with the pick.

The thing about LT and DE is this year's draft. The talent level may not justify drafting one in the first. Particularly at DE though, I think that we can get one that may become something definitely in the second, and possibly the third round (I'm thinking Taco will go somewhere in round 2 or 3, and maybe even Cam Robinson depending how people view his issues).

Dude Stew may not have been slow when he came in the NFL.... 4.48 speed.. but he is slow as dirt now I don't know who your watching go watch his 08 or 09 game vs the Giants when he ran for 200+ and then watch Stewart the last couple seasons he no longer has break away speed and his acceleration isn't what it used to be either...

I have watched Fournette he's far closer to an AP clone than a J-Stew clone.... he's 6'1 235 and projected to run in the high 4.3s he's a LOT faster than  Stew.

Stew has lost a step, no doubt, but I wouldn't actually call him slow.

Fournette is a 4.4 guy. I am not saying it's impossible for him to run a 4.3, but I think that's a tad optimistic. 230 with 4.4 speed is plenty fast. If he runs a 4.3, he may run himself right out of our sights.

I would still say he's slow... go watch him get ran down from behind by Richard Sherman on the first play of last seasons playoff game Sherman was a low 4.5 guy coming in I'd wager Stew is a mid to Lower 4.7 guy at this point...

As For Fournette 4.4 is fine with me too he's a TON faster than Stew runs just mean.

Okay, let's be honest. Outside of 12, 13. Stewy has missed 9 games in his 9 year career. And by how he has ran this year, he still has gas in the tank. Before you draft a RB at #8, let's figure out what we are going to do with Stewy first? Okay?

Let's say, that per usual. Gman likes to have about 5mil left in the tank after we sign the Rooks. And even after signing, KK, Addison, CJ, Delaire, and such, there is still an awful lot of money left. This is what folks should be focused on. Not so much who, but how much, Gman is willing to spend this off-season.

Stewy still has the speed to bounce it outside. He may not have home run speed, cuz few RBs do, but he is still plenty fast.

It all comes down to, do you think a RB at #8 is the right call. Most would say no. Some will say, why not? Who is to say what is right? Until things unfold. It is all speculation anyway.

Drafting fournette would be a luxury pick.  It wont fix anything for carolina.  Drafting a LT, DE, or SS would have more impact.  Theres nothing wrong with letting stewart play out his contract or hell resign him longer to lower is cap hit.  His earned that right.
