Norman set some punting records here and now is still playing. 

That leaves 3 guys.  Amini and Alexander aren't officially done.  Amini was with the Bears this season and Frank wasn't a talent bust but a personal life bust.  Then CJ was a 7th rounder and those are basically comparable to underdrafted guys. 

Name a random team and I can find a much worse draft than Luke's in that window

 

And I could find four or five good draft picks made by Matt Millen.

Would that make him an "A+ drafter"?

How would you rate Gettleman in comparison to Hurney? And for that matter, what constitutes an A+ drafter? Must they be first-time GMs who came to Charlotte from New York or are there other methods?

Cool.  Find one Millen draft that is clearly better than a bad (2014 Panther draft, as you said).  

Hurney didn't have just 4 good random picks.  

I get we nitpick our own but you seem to overrate the pack.  Carolina during the Hurney era was a better drafting than most (and that was with Hurney doing crazy stuff)

Otah wasn't a bad player.  He literally stepped on the field and dominated. 

He simply was a massive man who wasn't foolish with his body.

Not overrating at all. Just saying that any suggestion of Hurney being an "A+ drafter" is pretty silly.

Consistently give me high picks and I can hit some home runs too. Only problem there is that the reason you're consistently getting high picks is that the teams you're putting together on a year to year basis, even with those home runs, are terrible.

Hitting on high first rounders (the ones you don't trade away, at least) just isn't enough to crow about.
