Ex-GM Hurney: I'd sit Luke Kuechly

I agree but whatever.. you can tell the way Luke even is on the sideline that there's no way in hell he's going to be cleared and not play.

He walks the sideline like a WWE wrestler walks out to the ring.

My first thought.

Great players don't usually make great coaches, but with Luke's skill set I could see it.

Part of clearing him is determining whether he stands a good chance of having another concussion if he plays now versus waiting until next year. If there is no increased chance then you play him. If not you dont. Everyone here saying sit him assumes the longer you wait the less risk you have.  The research is becoming more clear and we know that having a concussion makes you more susceptible to another one. But timeframe is less clear. Some research says you are vulnerable for a year while other studies say once you are cleared to play, you aren't more likely to have another one at 2 weeks versus 2 months or longer and each person is different. It seems that many of the folks with brain damage suffered multiple concussions sometimes minutes or hours apart when the brain is very vulnerable trying to recover from a concussion which causes a mini-seizure.

That's a comparison I really don't wanna think about.

True. But they are similar talents and to be honest I'm completely okay with Luke being IR'd. Even if he could play tomorrow.

Dan Morgan is Anakin Skywalker to Luke's Luke Skywalker. We are talking about the best MLB in NFL history. His health and preserving it are the utmost importance.

Luke will play, we will win out, miss the playoffs and fug our top 5 pick up thus resulting in another shitty year next year coached by the same ole coaching staff and ran by the same owner and GM resulting in cam demanding a trade to atl who will skull fug us for the next ten years.

I wouldn't argue that.

But Luke might.
