A. J. Klein

The odds of us keeping Klein are slim.  Seriously doubt that he'll stay here.   He is a good linebacker and should garner a lot of attention in the off season.

I believe playing time has a factor in compensatory picks.  Could we be allowing Luke extra time to recover and giving Klein more playing time to possibly increase our compensation when (if) he signs with another team?

There is no conspiracy around concussions. That's one injury you can't fake or come back from until cleared.

Agreed....  Sorry I was traveling over the weekend and was only able to see the game and that Luke wasn't playing.  Last I saw he was back at practice so I assumed he was cleared and we just sat him for another week.

I'm not so sure about that. No one is Luke but he had decent coverage on Crabtree and Walford but Carr threw good passes. Not many systems require their LBers to be one on one on premier WRs like ours does. Remember Julio's long TD when they beat us last year? Luke had great coverage but the pass was perfect. But again how many defenses have LBers covering Julio 50 yards downfield? I don't think Klein is bad in coverage but he isn't Luke and in most defenses the MLB isn't covering Julio or Crabtree way downfield.

Also, correcting above. The primary part of compensatory picks is the contract yearly salary. They may tinker with the pick round if the player is a bust or makes the pro-bowl, but the new salary is the primary driver and some web sites have the levels down and they are fairly accurate.

Not many teams require their LB to cover Julio, bc they draft and sign DBs. We don't.

Everyone thought he was gold as our backup until he signed with the Cowboys and didnt do anything.

Connor was not gold. WTH is wrong with you. The dude was trash that's why we let him go. Dallas knew they weren't getting a starter in Connor. I swear some of y'all either throw poo randomly to see if it'll stick on the wall or hear voices.
