At what moment this year did you know we weren't the same as 2015?

I have held out hope until last night but what was the moment in the season it was obvious we were no longer the 2015 team?  I guess for me it came in that Minnesota game when they took the second half kickoff and scored to take the lead and we lost.  Haven't psychologically recovered since. We started off that day on fire in the first quarter but then it all fell apart.  Just curious what everyone else thinks.

Twice

preseason game 3. Newton looked like he wanted to be anywhere other than bofa

Opening game in Denver when Newton got his brains bashed in 4 times and the head coach said nothing the first time

he can open his mouth apparently over a tie but can't say a word to officials about the lack of calls protecting his QB

Denver. When Cam took that one shot that Greg had to go check and see if he was okay. I knew it. Nobody defended him in the organization but his teammates. That was when I had doubts. I knew for sure after the Atlanta game and Cam took the hit and Rivera said he would've taken the shot too. That did it for me.

When we imploded against the Vikings, the Vikings were a solid team but something felt off then. I can tell you the exact play when things started unraveling. It was a Fozzy run or screen that got called back because of a hold.

I had forgotten that third preseason game but you guys are right we did look god awful in that first half. Certainly couldnt move the ball at all.

The whole second quarter of that Minny game so much poo happened that went against us when we could have put em away which eventually snowballed to Tampa Bay which led to us pressing that night which of course led to lots of bad mistakes that cost us the game.

Its also amazing how kicking or a lack of kicking changed the season.  Missed FG against Denver, chip shot miss against TB to end half, blocked XP against Ok. which made us go for 2's.

Would put us up 17 points but KB held when there was no reason to do so. That led to the sack safety which also left Oher with a concussion. Had that feeling that things were going to go against us this season.

Later on, many forgot that we made the Chiefs fumble on their last drive. Of course we can't recover to make that winning field goal but they did.

Started feeling a little nervous after the SF game, which we won, but looked horrible doing it.  Then the 1st saints game, when we laid a first half egg after looking so bad at Atlanta.  The Tampa game closed the lid on the season, and the KC game drove a nail in it.

Fwiw, much of this season reminds me a lot of the first two under Rivera, where we played well enough to be close at the end, only to find a way to lose.
