Picking a RB is a waste of s top 5 pick when you have Cam. Lesser backs can look better with Cam keeping them honest. I would pick DE, LT, or WR in the top. Those positions give you points or take them away.

We seem to buck the trend...running game is key to our success...

Naaaa we need a RB. When Stew went down so did the production. We actually started winning some games when he came back. We need a 2 back system Stew stays hurt atleast 4 to 5 games a season. But I think Oline or DE is a bigger need right now. Specifically Oline. Addison showed he can ball. We need another DE to go with him. Teams were blocking Star and KK and really focused on them then Johnson and Ealy. I think in practice remmers can stop Ealy and Johnson but all 3 are bad when going up against a average DE or OT

So, looking at the match-ups next week:

Browns v. Bengals

Bears v. Lions

Viking v. Jags

49ers v. Jets

Rams v. Falcons

If we lose:

The most direct affect would be if the Rams can beat the Falcons.  This would move us up into 6th position while directly lowering our strength of schedule (a good thing).

The Jets and Bears winning would move us into a 3-way tie for the 4th/5th/6th spot.  The Jets beating the 49ers lowers our SOS. The Jags beating the Vikings also lowers our SOS.

Good post.  It may not be "easy", but we must find a way to lose this football game.  Losing this game takes us from looking at the Fournette/Barnett/Peppers menu outside the restaurant to looking at the menu while seated at the table.  Winning and at best we must wait until seats are available.

If we lose straight out though painful, it could benefit us in the future. I would much rather be a contender again next year, than to finish 8-8 out of the playoffs with lower draft picks.

Players and coaches aren't afforded this common sense luxury.  Fans are.  Go Chargers.

Were also not just talking about the first round pick, but better picks in all 7 rounds.  I feel this is often lost on people.  While I can't bring myself to directly cheer for a Panthers loss, I can feel better about it if it happens.  I can also pull for other teams like the 9ers and bears.  Hell, it makes watching the other games more interesting as well.

If we lose out, we will probably pick 5th.

No chance for Garrett, but Tennesse DE would be in range.

No OT worth the pick, so Barnett and Addison could be next years guys on the end of Dline.

OT worries me as it is slim pickings in FA also

Oher comes back strong or we struggle
