The only guy on the field for the Panthers last night that was actually giving his all and putting in 110% effort all night was Ryan Delaire. I love that guy. He's a terrible football player with just about no talent but at least he f*cking cares and f*cking works his ass off. I'm disappointed in Cam this year. TD even took a play off on the Lockett TD run, he slowed up and if not it looked like he could've tackled him. The other guy who'd be out there giving his all unfortunately was on the sideline, giving Ron Rivera his all.

LOL. You know, I really do think that Philly is good, cheap depth. He has largely met expectations when called upon this season (other than a drop or two), and that's more than you can say for some who play in front of him.

I'll say this Cam didn't seem to put the work or effort into this year compared to the previous years. The MVP year he had really killed his motivation to work hard. That's the thing with talented guys they can get away without the effort and still look solid to good but without that work ethic our team is not going very far.

Anyone with eyes could see he hasn't been playing as well as he could this season. But anyone with eyes could also see this team needs vast improvement in many areas, coaching being one. Anyone with eyes could also see that if you remove Newton from the equation overall, we are literally dogshit. There is no way we win the south 3 years in a row, and make it to a Super Bowl without the element that Newton brings to this team. So to all you ungrateful pricks, do us all a favor and kick rocks already. It's been the same miserable f*cks for the last 6 years. Just sh*t or get off the pot already.

Cam could've won back to back SB and MVPs and some fans would still find a reason to blame him for ever mishap. He hasn't looked or played like the 2015 Cam but there's many, many reasons as to why. I don't think his heart and effort should ever be questioned though.

I have supported Cam before he ever put on the uniform for different reasons. I think that he is a pretty good dude overall, but certainly not perfect. He's much like a lot of young men out there trying to figure things out and make a good life for himself and his family.  He has been blessed, and has worked hard to be successful.  

Now, as for football, he has been a little less perfect than he has as a young man (in my opinion anyway).  The thing is, he is a QB in the NFL, and a franchise one at that.  With that position comes great responsibility.  As one of the leaders on the team---if not the leader---he has to set the standard for work and improvement.  People aren't looking to "the bums around him" for leadership, they are looking to him.  Moreover, "the bums around" can be more easily replaced. A franchise QB is much harder to replace, not that anyone is looking to replace Cam at the moment. The thing is though, that there will be rumblings to replace Cam if he doesn't show any better next season than he has this season. The thing about this season is that though there are problems along the offensive line, Cam has really regressed in his decision making, and possibly even his mechanics (if they have ever really improved).  This is Cam's sixth season, and you'd think that he would have learned to consistently go through his reads, stop forcing the ball into coverage, throw the ball out of bounds, but, more importantly, consistently set his feet the correct way before he throws the ball. These are things that the great ones do with more consistency than the rest.  If Cam wants to be in that number, then he is going to have to stop trying to rely on his physical gifts so much, and put a premium on the mental aspects of the position. People throw "GOAT" around here a lot in regards to Cam, but the only way for him to really become that is to master the mental and strategic intricacies of the position. Otherwise, his ceiling will be "good," but never "great!"

 This is not a pick on Cam post, just a truthful one in my estimation. Rivera has things that he needs to fix to have a "great" ceiling as well. Gettleman has the most to prove in my opinion.  He has been good at certain aspects of his job, but questions abound about his overall management in my opinion. And, unfortunately so far---and, yes, I said it---unfortunately his job has the greatest impact upon the other two in my opinion, so he is going to have to step up his game. Everyone is going to have to step up their game in order to seize this opportunity to be great, or fall back among the good-in-spurts-at-best down to mediocre.  That's just the way I see it. This offseason and next season will reveal a lot.

Rivera, and the rest of this staff would have been shitcanned 3 years ago if it weren't for Cam Newton. However you feel about Cam's performance this season, that is simply indisputable. The man won an MVP award throwing to Ted Ginn as his main receiving threat outside Greg Olsen. You think he forgot how to football all the sudden? Let's not get carried away here.

Playing QB takes alot of work and putting trust into the people you have surrounding you...Cam has not regressed but his output has...when you have a line that consistently miss blocks, receivers dropping balls, bad play calling your output will regress.

No he is not Brady, Brees, Wilson, Rivers, or Rodgers. Each have a unique talent that makes them good, but each has a decent line, receivers, and coaches that know how to plan around subpar talent around the QB which is what Cam is lacking...I don't get the regressing comments here because Cam still displays rearkable throws and some run skills..not as much but there are other factors that in play as to why. You may say Wilson and Rodgers do not have a decent line, but they have decent receivers that they trust that will run the right routes and bail them out of trouble...only person Cam has is Olsen and everyone knows this he is not a  receiver. That is why last yr everyone was shocked that the Panthers were good...There was trust in the line..Denver exposed the line and Cam has not had trust since then and the Coaches cant seem to figure out how to adjust.
