Leadership, ron rivera, and the variable rigidity of discipline

I think Ron just hit the '85 Bears wall. Every coach who played on that team has eventually just completely cracked as a coach.

I mean, Mike Singletary went completely apesh!t one day as the head coach for the 49ers, apparently even yanking his own pants down to make a point. Mike frikkin' Singletary who should have been the very model of a coach. Leslie Frazier torpedoed his career after a disastrous stint with Minnesota. And Jeff Fisher... let's not even go there.

'85 Bears --- greatest defense ever, worst coaching tree of all time?

My call on this....there are coaches for building up teams, and coaches to take teams to the next level.

I think that Ron is probably a great coach for the Jets, or Cleveland....or the 2011 Panthers coming off of a no. 1 overall selection.  Not so sure that he's the right guy for a contender....we will see.

Marty was very similar IMO.

Mike had an epic meltdown. It was funny, but not funny.
