Chud had some of the worst D's we have ever fielded. Chud got cute with his playcalls but I would like to see what he could do with KB, Funch, and Ginn plus an actual D (this year not so much). Maybe Chud can actually execute a proper screen.

Worse than the 2016 defense?

If Rivera and his defense didn't keep choking away games in Chud's first 2 years, we would have been in the playoffs. I cannot tell you how many godamn times our offense put up huge points or just enough only for the defense to choke the lead away (hmm, sound familiar?). Rivera hasn't changed one bit since he's been here lol It's 2016, and we are still talking about the defense and choking away leads like in 2011-2012.

It wasn't because of the offense.  It was the defense.

Lolno.

Chud offenses: 4th, 18th, 27th, 24th, 11th

Shula offenses: 18th, 19th, 1st, 14th

See the pattern? Chud had one good year. Everything else? Crap. Shula averages 14th in PPG, Chud averages 18th. Shula averages 9.5 wins a season. Chud has never had a winning season.

I'm fairly certain that teams have figured Shula's thing out. Can confirm, Shula is garbage!

Yeah, what was it that Al Michaels kept saying last night?

"Well, that play didn't fool anybody."

That quote should be inscribed on Shula's tombstone.

it's probably a stupid idea but i kind of wonder what cam would do in a west coast system.  not necessarily the original walsh-style one that andy reid runs but something more in the mike shanahan vein, though i'm not sure about the zone blocking aspect necessarily.

we know that short accuracy isn't cam's strong suit but we have giants at the skill positions and kelvin benjamin has demonstrated that he's nearly undefendable on quick hitters.  plus cam seems to be a rhythm passer and he might be able to settle in more quickly if the pass rush is off him and he's able to put together some easy completions early in games.

If Cam had a competent coach he could do anything. The fact his mechanics are almost identical to what he was doing 6 years ago despite tons of talk from our coaches in that span about working on his mechanics shows how inept they are at coaching. Imagine Sean Payton coaching Newton, imagine Hugh Jackson, imagine Todd Haley or basically a coach in the nfl that isn't Shula and Ron, how much better could Cam and the offense be in general.

Or maybe Cam is all physical talent and not much else(like all his haters say), but I find that really hard to believe after what he accomplished last season. Cam has shown that he can do it and that he is capable of being that guy which makes this season even more painful.

cam being coached by sean payton wouldn't be fair

i can't stand him or his saints but he's working his way into the conversation when it comes to the greatest offensive minds in NFL history

I didn't want Chud to leave. The problem we ran into was that Cam was guessing where to throw the ball because he didn't know what he was doing. So the passing game pretty much fell apart. That read option fans seemed to hate at the time would have been lethal with a better o-line imo. Oh well I think Shula will be fired at the end of this season.
