yall need to wait to make assumptions until more information is available on why this happened. I have questioned RR before, but I highly doubt he started DA as a trick/gimmick play. Something happened. 

 

ya know, there is a chance that Cam broke a team rule or mouthed off to one of the coaches and deserved it.

I'm not defending Rivera's action, but Bill Belichick benched Wes Welker when he was a vital part of the offense in a playoff game against their hated rival, the Jets, because of a disciplinary issue. Benching a QB hasn't been done, but the action isn't unheard of.

It has happened to quarterbacks as well.  Not one as high profile as Cam in recent memory, but it happens.
