NFL success is probability (and statistics to a lesser degree) math.  Put yourself in the best position to battle year after year, because it takes everything to go your way in order to win these games.  You can't put the team in the best position to win over the long run if you're being short sighted about old, loud CBs and lazy-eyed DTs.

If DG doesn't plan on doing poo this offseason, keep him. If he does, let him walk cause replacing with rookies isn't going to work

And @Dick the Butcher yes we should be in win now. We have Cam Newton who's body has taken more hits than a lot of RB's. We need to be in win now. If you make it to the SB and lose, you should be in win now. Making to the SB isn't easy. This was just a wasted season.

Is he worth the $14M? If you told me we could sign JPP if we didn't tag Short, I would take the comp pick in 2018 and JPP and go with Star, Butler, Solai and Love and maybe another young DT in the draft.

If you add JPP, I believe it's worth tagging KK for a year for that much. You're not investing big money on him for the future. It's just one year, unless he pull a Greg Hardy assault a woman and get suspended for 14 games.

But, it's Gman is willing to pay one guy only I'd go with JPP.

Right, but I think I'd rather have Short and Bradberry than Norman. I definitely would have done that swap knowing how good Bradberry would be, although after watching Short this season, I think I'd rather have Norman and Bradberry.

There's also that age thing, i.e. a 31 year old player vs a rookie who's just getting started.
