Shula and Bevell may actually be brothers.  Both can be geniuses in play-calling and both can make you scream obscenities.

Rivera, you know I think he's really grown as a coach.  His first few years he looked clueless, but he's really improved as time as gone on.

I seriously doubt you'll hear anyone on here call Shula a genius at anything anytime...  I've never seen that label apply.

Rivera has grown some as a head coach in general, but it's obvious you don't watch our games much, which in fairness, we really only watch the Seahawks when we're playing them or they're on prime time...  Rivera really hasn't changed AT ALL in his game and clock management which was never good and hasn't really improved.

Sorry to interrupt the pleasantries but i don't get how anybody can like that Opie Taylor nano bubble drinking dick nozzle QB in Seattle.

Well, a lot of people (not me) feel the same way about your quarterback. Ha.

Quite frankly I feel that Russ v. Cam will be the next great QB rivalry in NFL history when it's all said and done.  Obviously this season hasn't exactly gone the way many expected it would for the Panthers but as I've said previously .. you guys will be a prime candidate to bounce back and be a 10-13 win team again.

Fair enough.. genius was probably too strong a word for both guys.. I should say they have their great moments and moments (probably much more frequent than the former) where you want to slap them in the face with a pineapple.  ;)

I would say that Shula has adequate moments.  That's all I'm giving him.

@Beast Mode CPK is our resident bullcrap talker. He attempts to say things and skew things, and has been proven wrong many times.

He's been a gettleman hater since day one. He tries and acts intelligent, acts like he's an insider, and blames all our setbacks on any gettleman pick. He's even talked crap about lotulelei and Short before.

He blames any "yardage" lost by blown Worley or Bradberry assignents, when clearly they don't even need to he there.

Heck, he even claimed Kurt Coleman bailed Bradberry out one time when Bradberry was the one that bailed out Kurt on a play.

He kept this up even last year. Don't believe a word he says.

Go fug yourself @Beast Mode, damn Seahawks fan :-)

With that out of the way, welcome back - always appreciate your insights and perspective. Should be an interesting strength vs. strength on Sunday between the run games and run defenses if Carolina can keep pace. Rawls looked damn good his first game back but got bottled up by Tampa. Was Britt's absence that damaging or did the Bucs just step up?

I think it's gonna come down to Carolina not having an answer for Russel's magic BS that he inevitably pulls every game. As obnoxious as he is as an opponent there's no denying the plays that he always seems to make against us.

Always good to chat with you guys as well!  I needed a break from Seahawks.NET because you'd think the 7-3-1 Seahawks are really the 1-10 Niners by the posts over there lately.

Anyway, yeah amazingly enough Britt has morphed into a damn good center.  He was remarkably useless as a tackle and guard, and yet is more than capable at center.  Football is strange.  The guy that filled in for him was a 6th round rookie and it showed.  McCoy just flat terrorized him and then the other linemen shortly followed.  Couple that with Russ just being completely off all game and the Bucs were able to just eviscerate our offensive gameplan.

Injury report looks a lot better this week for us though, we get everyone back but Prosise so hopefully that kickstarts the offense and defense back to what they are capable of.  (Well hopefully for me, probably not for Carolina)

Both teams were much better then. The team playing Seattle in the playoffs this year wasn't the same as the one that went 3-8-1 to start the year. We actually had a pretty good shot, and if Star was healthy I think we would've pulled it off--we wouldn't have gone down as much and could stick to our gameplan without having to have Cam force throws to Dickson while playing catchup. Honestly think this could be a similar game, resulting in us losing a close one.

I agree that we had a much better shot in that playoffs game because that team was better than its 7-8-1 record. Our OL was much better even back then than it is heading into this game. If our defense can get pressure we might be able to keep this game close but I'm not confident in our ability to get something going on offense with this OL and Shula calling plays.
