If we end up with a Top 10 Pick...

Good god if we cut Stewart I will burn this motherf*cker to the ground.

4.5 Mil. cap space saved with him entering his last year (IIRC his number is over $8 Mil if we keep him). If we end up getting a top15 pick and pick a RB with that pick, you're only looking at a cost of around $3.5 Mil next year. So basically, we replace Stewart and have an extra million left over.

FWIW I also think Dickson will get cut, saving us another $2 Mil.

I could be wrong, and we could keep both. But TBQH Stewie is getting old and is constantly nicked up (as much as I love him it is true) and we can use that money elsewhere and improve as a whole.

I don't want to get too detailed, but estimates are we'll have somewhere between $42 and $55 Mil in cap space already, but you can count on KK getting at least 10 of that next year. We also have a few other guys we need to retain, and I hope we're somewhat active on the DE and OL front in FA. Then we'll need at least $5-6 Mil for draft picks

I'm also thinking we might look to go ahead and try to extend Trai Turner. He'll be a FA next year, but will cost less this offseason (while we have the extra cap room.) If so, he'll likely eat around $5-6 Mil or more of the cap next year.

We have later round RBs. No need for more. Fournette has the talent to be out feature back for a decade and be one of the best backs in the NFL imo. This guy is kind of illusive, freakishly explosive, and very powerful on contact. Some guys are just superior athletes and it shows. I don't think we can pass on Fournette for some of the DBs that will be there around the 5th - 8th pick. That would just be crazy. Some team might actually want to trade up with us for Fournette. If we're going to be a running team then it seems clear we're taking this guy. We can draft Remmers' replacement in the second round. There isn't a clear cut top OT this season worthy of a top 10 pick imo.

Get Robinson. We need to address that offensive line. But we need a RT or LT. Kalil is safe. Turner is safe and norwell ia safe. But its remmers and oher and williams.  We can continue to groom williams but Remmers has to go. Oher we can keep him another year but we need someone to step in Remmers spot.

If we went that route would luv to double down at OT... Davenport? We could come back with a later Rd rb TJ Logan or similar...biased a little but he is going to be a good pro...

I don't care who we pick as long as we address the Oline in FA.

O-line = #1 priority

Pickings are slim.  The old standbys, Joe Thomas and Joe Staley, are the only sure things.  Maybe the price has changed-one of the 3rds and a day 3 pick to the 49ers or Browns.

Not true. I can count at least 5 younger guys that you didn't list that would upgrade us immediately. I listed them earlier in the thread.

I don't care how many CBs we drafted last year. One shouldn't be on the roster and the other is average at best. If there is a CB we believe can shutdown his half of the field we should draft him. Pairing another great CB with Bradberry would give us a young dynamic duo signed on the low for the next 5 years. There's also a chance we can pick up someone like Desmond King in the 2nd with how deep of a class this is.

With that said, I do prioritize OT,DE,SS and possibly RB if Fournette is available over CB. TE needs to be addressed in this draft too. Howard or Njoku would be great pickups. I long for the days of two TE sets we had with Olsen and Shockey. I agree with the poster who said Jabril Peppers is a Gettleman type pick, though. I don't mind him mid-late first if he's BPA but I rather have Hooker or Adams.

Cam has shown he can carry the offense and pick apart defenses when given time. Let's give him an OL to keep him upright and a running game to lift some of the burden off of him. But we also need to keep building up the D. Our D led the league in takeaways last year giving the O short fields to work with. This year not so much. Let's get back to that with some playmakers.

I'm not sure about him as a 4-3 DE. He isn't that big height or weight wise. I like him, but I worry about the size and translating to the NFL. Maybe I'm wrong, but this could be our last top 10 pick for a while. We need to get a cornerstone guy at T, DE, CB or S IMHO. I worry that after Garrett, there's not much top 20 wise for DE, so is Barnett going to go higher because of that.

I'd rather have a plays like Tarzan looks like Jane than a looks like Tarzan plays like Jane.  Not that anything about Barnett is "Jane".  The guy has abused SEC linemen for multiple years, including Robinson.

Barnett may not be a generational talent but he's most definitely a franchise cornerstone and super solid/safe all around DE.  IF the Panthers pick 8 and IF he's available, Barnett would be an ideal fit of player and need from a tangible and intangible (which he has plenty) standpoint.

Right now I wouldn't bet against the Panthers winning multiple more games and/or Barnett not even being available at 8 (PFF has him #3 overall on their big board).  Hopefully the Panthers either win out or lose out at this point, the nightmare 7-9 obviously being the worst of all scenarios.
