If we end up with a Top 10 Pick...

Not gonna read this whole thread but we gotta go OT all the way. Look at DeMarco Murray as an example, averaged ~5 YPC with the Cowboys 4 years, went to the Eagles and dropped to 3.6 YPC. Elliot isn't as good as people think, he happens to run behind a top 3 Oline.

Hog Molly, Hog Molly, Hog Molly.

Blotty Blue, Blotty Blue, Blotty Blue protect Cam and run the ball!

Since you didn't read the entire thread I've got some bad news-easier said than done.  The few OTs bandied about have major question marks on or off the field when it comes to being counted on to make an immediate impact.

A draft pick is not a sure thing?

We really need a boost on offense with a skill player. A much more proficient offense could help keep our 2nd ranked rush defense, 3rd ranked sack defense, an eight rated interception defense off of the field and fresh.

Yea, we could use a fancy new DB, or OT, but it seems like those take a while to develop.

Out of these, take Fournette.

Get those offense churning and take a little pressure off the OTs to hold up a pass game that has been hurt by a much less profeicient run game.

Just my two cents.

Immediate impact...lol... we have to get young talent in and start developing right away...The onus needs to be on the coaches to do that not on luck and waiting for the perfect prospect...not doing that will determine impact for years to come...

Said he was staying=wishy washy at best about playing with the big boys, coach said he was more comfortable on the right side and has to grow into the left, high strung personality with numerous penalties in pressure moments=#*|| frickin NO as a top 10 pick, plug and play LT for this franchise that MUST take no prisoners in 2017!!!!!

Maybe he'll be a great LT one day, who knows, but he is Exhibit A among multiple draft and FA choices that define white knuckling/wishing upon a shooting star to protect our franchise-when the Browns and 49ers DO have a price (everyone does) for Thomas/Staley, and common ground can be found within reason in a win/win trade for a RELIABLE short/medium term solution.

If we are picking 8th,and one of the top 4-5 players (Fourette, Peppers, Allen, Garrett) drop to us, pick them and consider yourself lucky.

If not I would love to see us trade down a little and pickup an extra 2nd or 3rd.  Including our 3rd we should get for Norman we could end up with a 1st, two 2nds, and two 3rds.  We could then combine those 2-3 of those picks and maybe move back into the first round or stay put and have 5 picks int the first 3 rounds.  I would love to see us pick up a OT and/or TE.    There might be some value for both in the 10-20 range.

For the heck of it I decided to look at teams that might be willing to deal.  All of this is based off of current draft position projections from overthecap.com http://overthecap.com/draft/ .

I'm not sure if there is a QB worth trading up to the top 5 for but maybe top 10.  The browns need a QB and happen to have the 1st and 14th picks.

Browns 14th and 47th for our 8th would be tempting.   Maybe a TE (Howard) or OT (Ramczyk) will still be there at 14.

Then TE or OT (whichever you didn't pick in the first) and DE in the second.

Maybe RB and WR in the third.  We need to draft a future replacement for Ginn.  A Tyler Lockett type would be nice.

Or we could package our two 2nds and a third and maybe trade for the Titans 15th pick.  They have 2 first round picks.

At this point we would have two 1st (14 and 15) and two thirds.

Or we could stay put and draft BPA which might be LB or DT.
