Someone let me know when TheRed comes in crying about pointing out a Cam Newton mistake.

Thanks.

He's the least of our worries right now.

Can't really sum it up any better.

When Cam hangs up his cleats, nobody will care about a missed read or miniscule poo like this. They will wonder how we squandered such a talent with limp dick football from Ron Rivera, and a GM who decided not to go all in with  a Super Bowl team.

Maybe directing some blame at the front office would put you at odds with the organization, I don't know, but some parity would be a good thing.

That depends.  If he hits Ginn in stride, I have little doubt Ginn picks it up.  If Ginn has to slow up to catch it, yeah its a stop and we are all complaining about Shula's play call or Cam's throw.

In stride? He basically stops his route and then starts almost jogging across the field. I mean it would be close but it looks like that corner closes on him pretty quickly

I used to blame Shula for a lot of our woes, but since last season, I'm not as rough on him.  I will say that my biggest issue is not playing to Cam's strengths... biggest one is - Why the hell don't they call more bootlegs and rollouts?

Crappy offensive line, like to go downfield (which requires time), Cam's dual-threat ability to bolt when needed outside of the pocket, so why not have him roll out more?  We can still run read-option/play-action out of the shotgun and move Cam around.

This issue, IMO, is on Shula. I love that we are not a west coast, dink-and-dunk offense, and like the deep ball, but this personnel isn't set up to do this like in 2015. Shula's lack of adjustment in-game, as well as week-to-week make it difficult to defend the guy.

Some of those sacks were on him though for holding onto the ball.

This thread for example.

This thread is click bait. You know progressions just like anyone else. You can make a thread of every qb in this league and the guys they don't see. Only reason you're making it is to drive traffic and just like the media bashing Cam is the best way to do that.

I hate to say it but Cam deserves as much blame for this year as anybody else. I don't know what the hell happened but he looks like a different player from last year. And no it's not due to the OL.

hes trying to prove he a Brady type quarter back... fug that, be you brah... i noticed that early in the season. is all him or coaching too?... idk

Why do I keep seeing Blame directed to Shula or Cam?this is all on fozzy for blocking the ghost of Christmas past.

Sent from my iPhone using CarolinaHuddle

if you want to isolate that area, it should be more to a great play by the pass rusher, who went outside then did a quick spin move inside. Fozzy went to help on the outside rush, the defender beat Turner and Fozzy.

The target was KB.

Only one person actually recognized the play as corner routes against a deep cover 2 zone, and KB was open. He set up a nice zone between the hash and the sideline.

Ginn did not run the wrong route. He hesitated to draw the CB down and free up the zone for KB. If Ginn runs the crossing route too quick, then the CB would stay high and take KB while the nickel on KB would come off to Ginn on the inside with the LB rotating over to bracket Ginn. By Ginn hesitating on his route near the outside before he crosses he forces the CB to come down from the deep zone in a cover 2.

Cam takes a 7 yard drop, looks off the safety, and then throws to KB. He needed an extra 0.2 seconds in the pocket to get the ball to KB.

Cam may have dropped a couple yards too far. He is 9 yards from the LoS. This would mess up the pass blocking on the edge.

i think you might be the only person who actually understands what they are looking at that commented in this thread.

Sorry, but there is no way you can convince me Cam is the reason we lost..

We lost because of Rivera not going for the 4th and 1..We lost because Rivera went for extra points TWICE when he didnt have too..We lost because Rivera SAID he wanted his defense to win it and not have faith in his QB..

We wouldnt have even been in a position to play that 4th down if Cam hadnt led a comeback of being 17 points down..

Yall kill me..
