Who goes, who stays?

Honest, every one of those except for Short can go.

There's some I would have no problem with staying but that is a very replaceable group.

Mario is a great role player but I wouldn't want to throw too much of an investment at him (which it will require if he keeps piling on sacks).  We need a 3 down 4-3 DE.

It's not an erection just curiosity. He's a better Ted Ginn. He's a perfect wr for Cam. But it won't happen so it doesn't really matter.

I agree he's better than Ginn. Probably more reliable on the field as well. But he comes with a higher price and a troubled past. I'd rather give Byrd a chance. The potential is there.

Remmers can die in a fire. Short had better lower his price a lot. Klein's pass coverage instincts are so bad he needs a compass to get his bearings, moves away from the target, god almighty. Bersin has to be pinching himself that he's in the NFL. Cj is 30 but if you told me he was 37 I wouldn't blink. We have so many players who could leave and I wouldn't care that it's scary.

Dam that cracked me up! A lot of truth there too.

CJ not worth the money.

Remmers would be a good backup.

Ginn  I would like us to use him like KC does T. Hill.   They do everything they can to get that boy the ball.

Addison is a perfect pass rush specialist.   I think he should be a must unless someone else throws stupid money at him.

KK - Should be paid as an upper echelon DT but not elite DT money.

Jones, Griffin, Scott, Love and Bersin we wouldn't miss.

Johnson seems to fit well with us.

McClain wouldn't be a bad reserve.

Klein unless tagged won't be a Panther next year.  Someone will pay him good money.  Would love to keep him but he is done in Carolina.

I don't want DeSean Jackson and we don't need him.  What we need is an Offensive Coordinator that can spread things out and take advantage of the greatest dual QB the NFL knows.

Defense:

CJ:  has been quietly having a solid season.  If the price is right, I'm for keeping him, perhaps in rotation.  But we NEED new DE talent alongside / behind him.  If we can get someone better / younger and had to choose, I'd be willing to let him walk.

Addison:  YES!!! Our best DE at the moment.

KK: At least 1 year on the franchise tag.  Not sure why he's been lackluster this year, but we know the potential is there.

Kyle Love:  Good depth, cheap.  I'm fine with keeping.

AJ Klein: I really like him and the depth he provides.  Would love to keep him, but suspect he will be sought after by other teams, and that only seems fair to him to get a chance to start.  Will be hard to see him go.

Leonard Johnson:  Undecided. He seems to provide a spark and vet savvy when he's playing, but I worry about his injury history.

Let go:  Teddy Williams, Robert McClain, Robert Griffin, Colin Jones.  (I'm a little more open to keeping Jones, but I assume we can find an upgrade.)

Offense:

Remmers, keep as depth, hopefully find a better starter, however.  Is Daryl Williams ready now to start full time?

Scott:  Fine depth, assume he'll be cheap.

Ginn:  this is my biggest question.  His speed is still amazing.  When he's great, he is GREAT and he adds a vertical threat our offense SORELY needs.  It all depends on whether there are any viable replacements.  Assume he'd be quite cheap and willing to accept a team-friendly deal as he knows the Panthers know how to value him compared with other teams.  I would like to see Byrd or someone else in for ST returns.  Ginn just doesn't seem to be a threat as a returner any more.

Bersin: I think we probably have to let him go.  He's great depth at WR, but he's taking up a roster spot we probably need for other positions. We need a new/better FB; we need new TEs (other than Greg, of course), and we need to upgrade at WR.  I think Byrd should probably take Bersin's spot and take over return duties...
