You can either A) put the ball in the hands of a skill player, or B) put the ball in the hands of a dumpster.

Tolbert should never be the primary target of any play.  He shouldn't even be the check-down option of any play.  The only time he should be on the field is during Fan Fest and he's called out from the stands to try and kick a 35 yard field goal to win a $50 Harris Teeter gift card....and fails miserably, pulls his groin and calls out sick from work on Monday.

Phil and & myself mentioned last month that getting Mike out into the open field may be the best way to utilize him this year. And there's been a conscious effort to do that recently which was seemingly working.

 

 

But that play right there will justify never giving him the ball again. Nobody could've predicted or known that the guy would've become that scared of contact in one NFL offseason
