I would contend that Ted Ginn didn't know where the line was either and just got there by accident.

100 pounds makes a difference?  seriously tolbert has no business trying to be a ballerina, his weight and size you put your head down and blast through a motherfuger and get the first down.

All about desire. Tolbert lost all his momentum by spinning instead of leading with his shoulder. Ted Ginn is one of the smaller guys on the team but he fought for that first down.

You can either A) put the ball in the hands of a skill player, or B) put the ball in the hands of a dumpster.

Tolbert should never be the primary target of any play.  He shouldn't even be the check-down option of any play.  The only time he should be on the field is during Fan Fest and he's called out from the stands to try and kick a 35 yard field goal to win a $50 Harris Teeter gift card....and fails miserably, pulls his groin and calls out sick from work on Monday.

Ginn was never somebody that was gonna run over a lot of people.

But sad to say, these days he might actually be more likely to do so than Tolbert.

Tolbert doesn't want to hit anymore anymore. It's painfully obvious just by watching his body language.

Phil and & myself mentioned last month that getting Mike out into the open field may be the best way to utilize him this year. And there's been a conscious effort to do that recently which was seemingly working.

 

 

But that play right there will justify never giving him the ball again. Nobody could've predicted or known that the guy would've become that scared of contact in one NFL offseason

Yeah after he had that play where he hit that one guy and basically knocked him out cold Tolbert has played the game differently. I think it was vs the 49ers 2 years ago but I could be wrong.

That play pissed me off....he could have either lowered his shoulder for the first or cut back inside and easily get the first.., I hope there's some changes this offseason, too many mediocre players sliding by on this team

Some guys are playing to win. Some guys are playing for a paycheck. Some guys are just riding out their last season in the sun. And some guys are just coasting.

Pretty much the recipe for 6-10 right there.
