2016 Panthers = 2004 Panthers?

Honestly, what this season has really been deciminated by is injuries. 

2004 is a season I bet most of you remember. It began with Steve Smith breaking his leg, Stephen Davis IR'd, then the RB fiasco, down to our 6th string tailback. Our oline was in shambles trying to reorient themselves, and was a disappointing end to a season after the '03 superbowl season looking poised for another run.

2016. Right now, our Oline has taken the RB curse of 2004, with Norwell the lone man at his natural position/not a backup. We lost our MVP QB for a game. Our RBs have taken a toll early on with Stew out a lot of games. Our secondary was down to special teamers and people signed off the practice squad. Luke wasn't in for Oakland.

Really, injury ridden seasons after a superbowl run. Now, sure, coaching is garbage, but still some have to consider what we could be if healthy.

The 04 team went on a really nice run after starting 1-7.  This group doesn't appear to have the same resolve even though they have far more talent.

We can only hope we get everyone healthy, make a couple upgrades, and have a 2005 like year where we have one of the best 4 teams in the league again. Still say if we didnt have to go into Seattle with our B team that we wouldve beat the Steelers in the Super Bowl

It's been worse than 04. At least the team fought in 04. The team gave up week 1.

Our injuries this season aren't that bad and aren't the excuse some of you are looking for.
