Just goes to show how small the difference between winning and losing is in the NFL.  Last year, we won the close ones by  making big plays at the end.  This year, we are not making them.

There is very little talent difference in the NFL between the best team and the worst team. It all comes down to practice, discipline and execution. The browns can beat the Patriots if the Patriots don't do their homework and execute on the field. This is not college

We were close to Carr on that Crabtree catch (we may have put a hand on him), but Carr stepped up in the pocket and made that throw. Crabtree made that catch with Klein mugging him and molesting him, that is clutch

I'll take a Greg Olsen over a Crabtree on my team any day, but winning in the NFL is more about execution, not necessarily talent. This is the ultimate team game. They executed, and we crapped the bed. We go fishing, they go to the playoffs

Even as colossal an a--hole as George Seifert was, there were still players defending him at the end of the 2001 disaster of a season when people yelled for him to be fired.

I think players - at least the kind we have on this team - take responsibility on themselves and don't want to feel like they got their coach fired.

Agreed. Pleasure watching that game. Raiders are and impressive team and they have a legit QB.

Yeah, got to agree about Carr.  Looking at his finger, I thought that he wouldn't be back in, or that he wouldn't be able to throw if he did come back in.

I love me some Olsen and I always will.

That said, he would've made that catch last year. We would've also made that 2 point conversion work. It's emblematic of our season in a nutshell. Those teams that make the run need to make those great plays and this year, they're just not happening when we need them the most.

88 is the man. That would have been a ridiculous pass to catch, just wasn't much room for Cam to drop it in there. Under the circumstances that was all about the Panthers could have hoped for. 

My only worry is how many more seasons 88 will lace up his cleats.
