Targets

For the draft, I think there are several positions that need to be filled.

From the under performing group:

OT, DE, S

From the eye on the future group:

C, LB, RB

In order, based briefly on big boards around the league, I see DE being the first pick

TN DE might be our target

We are screwed on OT, nobody from the draft will be ready and FA is not going to be filled with good choices either.

Question marks on our marquee players.  Cam, how long is he going to play? Luke, same question.

My Guys in order who I want

1st round: Garrett, McGlinchey, Adams, Fournette, Peppers

Garrett is the only DE thats worthy of a top 15 pick.  Not a fan of the TN would actually take Taco Charlton, Walker, and Solomon Thomas over him.  McGlinchey said he's coming back but so did several other ND guys who have came out.  ND has produced good OL the last couple of years, good system and coaches that have them prepared for the next level.  McGlinchey is a more physical version of the kid Baltimore drafted this year. Adams is a Franchise Safety.  Kid has insticts and a student of the game almost like Luke and TD but at safety.  Adams is also a great leader (calls the plays from the safety spot)  and a good locker room guy.  He is a Hard but fundamental hitter who doesnt back down from Comtact.  Good athlete and Ball skills in Coverage.  Fournette is Peterson 2.0  Freak do it all RB.

2nd round: Foreman, John Ross, Demarcus Walker, Taco Charlton

3rd round:  Pat Elfein, Samaje Perine, Jordan Leggett, Solomon Thomas, Jeremy Sprinkle, Dion Dawkins,

You gave to come out of round 3 with a Center whether if its Elfein at the top or another one from this deep class from Normans comp pick

4th: Wise jr

5th: Freddie Stevenson- FB needed badly

Well all I can say is: it's draft time boys and girls!

this is what I posted in another thread..........

Needs in order of importance:

LT- I think Oher is gone. For our sake, we better hope Gettleman assumes he is- because if we go into the season assuming he's healthy and he isn't - it's this year all over again.

D-end- Both positions- but I could see us signing a decent vet and letting Kony give it one more shot.

SS- Coleman will be moved back to FS, Tre might be kept for depth but wouldn't be surprised if he gets cut.

TE #2- look out for a high draft pick in the 2nd on this. Dickson is gone

FB- if we even value this position anymore, but Tolbert is a goner.

NB- probably through FA, unless they feel good enough about Leonard Johnson

PR/KR- Ginn has been awful at PR and Fozzy isn't a great KR- look for competition.

RB- Next year will probably be Stew's last as a Panther we need to find a replacement quickly.

That's a lot of needs, plus we are going to probably try to re-sign KK, extend Star, Norwell, and Turner. I could see us making a move on veteran LT, praying Williams develops further into a RT, and signing a quality DE. I'm a Gettleman supporter but he has his work cut out for him this offseason. Will truly be a seminal moment for him.

edit: You could make a case RB is an even higher need- right behind SS and I wouldn't argue with you.
