Steve Wyche: Negative Vibe Inside of Panther's Organization

No, no, I don't doubt for a second that Richardson cares about the fans (even if he doesn't really GET what most fans want). It's just that the thought of him browsing on the Huddle is so hilarious that I couldn't process it. And that's neat that he showed up at one of the tailgates, but he probably thought that Carolina Huddle or Panthers Huddle or whatever we were when he showed up was just an exclusive tailgating group or something. If I'm wrong though, that's pretty cool. *Shout out to Big Cat who may be reading this thread*

Pretty sure none of that was the case... Perhaps Dawg can yet again back this up. lol

I still think JR is a classy guy, he just doesn't recognize who his market is. The fans pay his bills, not the NFL. He has pretty much ignored his fans since he started the franchise, and it's coming back to bite him in the ass. Like a few have mentioned before, he'll figure it out once it hits his bottom line. Until then, he's still sitting on top of his mountain oblivious to how he's alienating his client base.

What? Their lackluster play is a result of not being handed fat bonuses??

Screw those guys... GO FALCO!!!

Seriously though, this would explain the disappearing act of the Richardson boys. They make a promise, they fall short on that promise, they get axed (or asked to resign) by their pops who's now pissed they led the team on. I can see this of Mark, maybe not John, but definitely Mark. What he needs to do then, is to make good on any promises made up to this point regarding money, playtime, etc. To keep your company happy, you have to dole out some perks ever now and then. If you state you will, you should. Even if that exact primise was not made by you personally.

This entire thread is opinions based on personal observations. Unless your name is Jerry Richardson, you don't know what's going on. Hell...half of the threads on here are opinions and deductions. The only facts any of us have are statistics, which largely don't mean anything either. Even quotes are second hand and often taken out of context.

if what Wyche says is true... the team and the organization is full of pussies!

Oh no.. we lost 2 games... I'm feeling so down... grow up, tuck your blouse into your skirt and keep your whining to yourself

No kidding. How do they think it feels to be a team like the Chiefs or Lions?

To elaborate on the layoff thing, I'm sure other team employees that work in the front office or stadium or wherever were a little peeved when they saw a dozen of their colleagues fired from their $50,000 a year jobs the same month that Peppers was tendered for $16 million and soon after Jake received a $20 million extension after his worst game in his career and the worst playoff performance for an NFL quarterback in history. Certainly not a morale booster.

Paying the players or renegotiating their contracts has absolutely nothing to do with paying the other employees or letting some go.

this thread needs evidence (quotes from notable people etc). without it all this thread accomplishes is planting a seed and in the following days and weeks we are going to see morons posting "Fire JERRY RICHARDSON" threads.

I agree. No way am I putting any credence into 3rd-hand "sources".

Has anyone thought that JR's heart transplant and general health may be affecting the organization? Even if he's doing well considering the situation, it will affect his employees. Trust me, after heart surgery there can be more bad days than good ones for years. And I'm sure he can't do everything as he use to. Maybe he doesn't make it to the office but once or twice a week where he use to be there every day. It all would impact his employees.

I think JR fired his "kids" because while he was sick, his "boys" made Pep a franchise player at 16+ mil a year, Gamble extension at almost 10 mil a year, Jake got almost 8 mil a year and we traded away another first rounder for a Hilee Taylor hybrid. It would take a lot for me to can my son but the Peppers deal dropped the axe. BTW remember when JR asked Pep to become more of a leader? Well he leads the league in money per sack, thats for sure.

this has been snowballing, as far as on the field, since 2007 at least. the defense stopped playing with any heart, and this was only briefly remedied by bringing in new people with pre-installed intensity they acquired elsewhere (Harris and Beason). 2 years later they seem to be tapering off, too.

Kris Jenkins told us this, and he was trashed for it.

Not really. The NFL pays his bills above everything else, but he has accountability to the NFL to keep the fans(keep them paying at least).

I don't think any hate is warranted towards JR, but the circumstances of everything that's happened since Jan is definitely cause for concern. Coaching/players is one thing but pointing fingers at the top is something that can lead an organization to collapse.
