Dallas= easiest opponent year to date

I am so confident that we are going to shock the football world on Monday night, that I am going to go onto myfantasyleague.com and submit my fantasy lineup right now as the following:

Muhsin Muhammed over Miles Austin

Panthers D over Philly's D

J-Stew over Darren McFadden

This is to show my loyalty to the franchise. Of course, these are mostly my 4th and 5th string players, but you get what I'm trying to do. Plus my main lineup should be able to beat the guy I'm playing, so this will be like extra free points.

Dallas has a great defense and the league's best running game (currently). Not to mention they'll be hungry to win one in Jerry's house. Should be the toughest team we've yet to face.

i think there defense is very overrated. but there running game is going to be a HUGE problem for us. even if barber doesnt play.

Great points, thanks for the hard-hitting in-depth analysis.

Ok i'll elaborate

The cowboys biggest threat in the passing game is going to be jason witten, hes gonna get his..outside of him i see nobody who scares me there, especially with romo the choke artist then one delivering the ball.

So how was Atlanta better than them here...lets take a look, TE you had Gonzales..who got his.. In addition to that Roddy White and Michael Jenkins are a pair i'd take over Roy Williams and Patrick Crayton all day, especially when you couple the fact that Matt Ryan is passing to them over Romo.

But what about felix jones and tashard choice? I'm gonna be generous and say thats a wash between Turner and snelling..snelling's the no name who gashed us a few times last week

Now lets look at defense (Defense alone is why i didnt need to mention philly's offense)

Terrance Newman is going to have is hands full going against Smitty and their other corner orlando scandrick is going to have a tough time against Moose, especially when trying to shed mooses blocks on running plays.

Can you name anybody on Dallas' D-line without looking?? nuff said there

Their linebackers arent creating the same pressure they once did either, so really their D does not scare me at all, especially since Tampa put up 3 td's against them.

Now dont get me wrong Atlantas D is'nt nothing to brag about but Its a lil more balanced than Dallas' D...up front on the edges John Abraham and Jamal Anderson, Controlling the middle is Mike peterson and their safety decoud is progressing into a fine safety as well

Feel better now?

ehh its not always about how good u are

but who wants it more

Dallas does not want to go 0-2 in there new home

if panthers dont turn it around theres no chance this year

its going to be a good game

panthers 31 -21

Dallas's defense was good last year, but so far this year, they haven't really showed up. Tampa Bay and the Giants both piled up good offensive numbers against them. They have 0 sacks for the year, and have allowed a bunch of yards rushing. Not to say they won't have a good night against us because it could be just a fluke, but so far, they haven't been any better than we have on the defensive side.

i also believe they have zero turnovers.

    • I get that my example was not exhaustive of all the reasons, but it also is that simple (generally). Which is why some teams pay players years before the get to FA to save some money and bet that the player continues to develop.  And I understand your point about Horn, but I dont think we are in a position to allow players of his caliber to leave. We had no succession plan for him. Had we let him go and Mike Jackson was our #1 corner on the team I might throw up. So we need to over pay to get some stability - and hope the injuries are behind us.
    • I think you have a very simplistic view of a pretty complex system, hence why you are getting emotional and confused. The league is going through a market adjustment period for several reasons(COVID cap freeze, new TV deal, etc) but paying top dollar for players that aren't clearly elite isn't typically a wise long term investment, regardless of market changes. Overpays literally happen every single offseason. We should know, we have done it over and over. Miles Sanders, Ian Thomas, CMC, etc, etc.
    • True. So you can say that he is not worth the money because he has missed a bunch of games - and thats a fair argument. But you can also say that when he is available he is 'one of' the best CB's in the league.  But now you need to value that. I doubt that he takes a deal worth less then he did (obviously) so then you need to determine is the draft pick we are going to get back for him worth it.  So you can do what we did, or you can trade the player, thereby making the defence worse, but you have most cap space sitting there.  So on sundays when we are getting blown out, you can still feel good that we have a lot of cap space.
