I'm in need of an empty warehouse/barn/storage space for a few days

The equity growth for my Vietnam War film has snowballed over the past month or two and I'm able to start designing sets and scouting locations for the domestic shoots, which will probably take place in January/February. For two of them I'm in need of an empty indoor space to build a few simple interior sets: a Vietnamese bar and a military barracks.

Do any of you have a space you either own or are willing to refer? The needs are pretty simple: a hard floor (as opposed to a dirt one) and the ability to construct a simple free-standing four-wall structure of roughly 20x30 feet.

Anybody own/have access to some unused space (preferably in NC, SC, or GA) they'd be willing to let me use for a few days for cheap?

I'm confused from the way this reads...

Do the spaces need to be on the same property? (ie. build the barracks right beside the bar?)

Is the 20x30 the barracks?

I don't really know of anywhere right now, but I wanted to get clarification before I start brainstorming too hard.

The first thought I had was that you should be able to scout out a defunct, relatively run down looking old general store or service station (or hole in the wall bar, for that matter) in some of the more rural NC towns and counties. All it would take would be getting permission from whomever currently owns the property. I'm assuming you'd need functioning electrical service intact, so that might eliminate this type of property unless you can find one that has it at least close by or capable of getting it with the flip of a main breaker somewhere.

I'm going to check a place I know of in Columbia SC tomorrow. So basically you need something like a covered big barn or like a good sized storage unit with concrete flooring?

yes! that would be perfect. just something indoors that lets me build a small freestanding structure, no more than 12 feet high, just framing lumber and sheetrock with nothing anchored into the floor, no mods, no demo, nothing like that. will disassemble, clear, and clean on the way out.

lighting is a huge plus. we'll install our own lights inside the set but it would be good to have light to see while we set it up, haha.

    • Regarding BYs depth of target... Week 1 Week 2
    • His physical attributes aren't going to change on a new team so I have no idea how he would pan out elsewhere but I can logically assume those issues he has had with processing which was supposed to be his key selling point before the draft would follow him. He was also supposed to be someone who thrives when the play breaks down but he has been inconsistent at best on that and at times horrific. I think where we each take a fork in the road on the determination of Bryce Young currently is you seem to still be treating him as a rookie and not a third year QB still repeating the same mistakes while showing that he has no arm talent to overcome even the slightest bit of adversity. I've said all along his rookie year and his sophomore season that I would be willing to overlook his interceptions if he was pushing the ball downfield consistently and even if he turned the ball over forcing a pass here and there to keep defenses honest I would accept it. But he has nothing. There is no deep passing game here. He threw the ball 55 times in Arizona which was 30 more times than Kyler Murray and only had a little over 100 more passing yards than him. Legitimately you should read that again and ponder it. That is embarrassingly atrocious. Circumstances here are not ideal with the WR's and OL but we cannot normalize this. It is horrendous. And we need to swallow our pride and begin scouting QB's for the 2026 draft. In the meantime this cannot continue on much longer for the sake of the locker room. And the upcoming schedule isn't going to get any better. If there is a silver lining to any of this we are going to find out just who Dave Canales really is throughout the rest of the season. He isn't getting a pass either.
    • I don't hate it but.....  eeeh it would take acquiring Kaprizov without giving up svech to make rod try Jarvis at 2C. Svechnikov/Aho/Kaprizov  Ehlers/Jarvis/Stankoven
