The last 20 games played he has the best passer rating in the NFL and he passing close to 70% completion this season and lasT season. Respectfully disagree that he isn't a good QB

When you throw short completions it inflates your passer rating. Has nothing to do if you are a good player or not.

The bottom line is that our OL is fugi g trash. I think that's the point the thread starter was trying to make and it's a point I strongly agree with.

This is exactly what I was trying to say. I just wish our front office would give cam that kind of oline for once. I feel we are two tackles away from a top 10 oline with Williams serving as a decent backup at rt. Oher may never play another down and remmers is well... we know what remmers is guys[emoji23][emoji23][emoji23] we need tackles and we should be ok

I'm willing to give Williams the rest of this season to fully show what he has. I think we might only be a legit LT away from being a very good OL. But, Kalil is no spring chicken either. He could decline rapidly at any point. I just hope Williams gets that chance if Oher does return. I really hope we don't put Remmers back in as the starting RT if Oher comes back.

We need to draft or buy a LT. Latter want be cheap but Cam injured is not either. Learn from Dallas and the Skins and protect your QB.

Cousins (like Andy Dalton) are quick release guys in west coast offenses.  Cam Newton is one of the slower decision makers in the NFL, and that comes as part of how he feels comfortable (He likes to read the defense and throw when he sees a guy getting open) but also is greatly dependent on the scheme which in the Coryell which has a lot of down field routes which take time to develop...basically what I'm saying is that our dog poo O-Line will never suffice with the QB we have and the system we run.  The more I think about it, the system that Shula is trying to force feed down our throat only works if you have no weaknesses 1 through 11 in our offensive personnel.  THIS is what the difference is between Shula and McDermott, McDermott can scheme around weaknesses like our DE's, Safeties, and Corners (somehow, he's making this defensive unit decent with only a few playmakers), but Shula has absolutely no ability to scheme around a poor o-line, even with the reigning league MVP, a pro bowl RB, and a pro bowl Tight End.

Scheming around a poor oline should be easy enough for any OC, right?

Wrong.

I highlighted this not to discount everything else you said but there are two aspects of Cam's game that I think he could improve on. One is this, the best QBs anticipate when a receiver will be open and throw to those areas accordingly = quicker release and less time holding the ball = less sacks/hits on the QB. Secondly, Cam's pocket presence and pocket movement are big deficiencies that seem to have gotten worse this year, especially the awareness aspect. Pocket movement is more associated with footwork which he has always struggled with.

You could also learn from the Chiefs, Jags, Ealgels  and a few other teams that spent high draft picks on "franchise" tackles that either moved inside or to the right side.

Step 1: don't run 40 yard routes with every reciever on every down...was that too hard?

That doesn't happen.  this would be where I'd ask if you even watch the games, but i can tell that it not worth the time, when you are so willing to ignore the truth.

If Cam would improve his.game in these area's, the offense would be more capable.
