Norv Turner? The guy who just quite in the middle of the season? Eh.

Norv and Ron might be friends.

Norv and Ron were talking,  weekly Skype. And Norv said Hey, you know what? It sucks it Minnesota. And Ron said, No Sh!t. and the laughed.

Then Ron said Hey, what do you think you could do with Cam?

Didn't they have the exact same OL personnel as last year? Would that not indicate a coaching problem?

Holy poo, you brought up the same personnel as last year argument?  WOW.

The same personnel that got exposed against Von Miller, and Vic Beasley?  Here's the issue, our personnel on the offensive line wasn't that good either.  PFF ranked Oher outside the Top 15 for Left Tackles, and Remmers outside the Top 20 for RT's.  Those positions, should've been looked at in the off season.  They had to constantly bring in personnel to help stop good-great pass rushers.  Remmers is pretty bad, the Super Bowl showed that.  Why he wasn't let go is beyond me.  Shula deserves some blame (I mean, this is who he is), but Gettlemen deserves a vast amount as well.

For what? 2.5 games it was the same? Since then it's been a patchwork. it was getting to be decent when Kalil got hurt and then Kalils backup got hurt.

Jeremy come on man.

The OL hasn't looked like it did in the 2015 season since we got our asses handed to us in SB50. It's been steadily heading right off a cliff ever since.

Do you really think Gettleman shares zero blame in our current record?

Yeah, the Gettlemen gets a pass argument makes no sense to me.  This is Shula, this has always been Shula, why do we expect more from Shula?  We shouldn't.  Simple as that.

It hasn't looked the same because it isn't the same. only the 2 guards have been consistent

Could the team have more talent? Sure. So Gettleman is not perfect.

However, I think the Panthers have enough talent to lead this division currently.

Do you think the talent is there on this team to be 7-3?

Did we not max protect more than any team in the NFL?

Did teams sit back and allow us to max protect?

Did Wade Phillips literally get on a microphone and claim every opponent we faced mind boggling didn't counter the max protect all year?

Shula new it wouldn't work again.  He lobbied for talent to switch things up as teams would adjust.  He didn't get it.

That's been one of my biggest issues when I watch our offense vs other teams. Cam seems like he's always having to fit the ball in tight windows and other teams wide receivers seem to be wide open for easy completions. So either our WRs can't get open or we can't scheme them open.

That and they have coached the intuition out of him. and it's a freaking tragedy. cam is  longer a threat to run on every down, and that's what made him great.

I think they could definitely be 7-3. We have plenty of talent. Already agreed on that. Also already agreed that Shula's time here needs to come to an end.

But it's also gut check time all around my man. Shoring up our OL has to be, imo, top priority in the offseason. We've poured an exorbitant amount of resources into our defense throughout the Newton era, and I'm ready to go all in with the offense. Point blank period.

but if you want to just look at our losses...

McD has had more talent than Shula and the D has been a bigger disappointment.

now I don't think McD needs to be fired.  I simply don't think coaching is our issue this year.  I think it is uneven talent and coaches being asked to work around massive holes at key spots where units just need decent play
